don't think you will get much better for the price, maybe less of a spec with a nexus 6p, otherwise you'll endup paying more if you go axon 7 and really much of an upgrade, got nothing to lose by trying the community beta 3.5.3 as it has an improved camera, if you don't like it easy to go back to stock, guides on this forum

So, a firmware update should not have an effect, right?!?

Have the same problem - have had my OP3 for nearly 4 months and the lens focus has just stopped functioning - no obvious reason why

Shame, I've been really really happy with it right up until now - not looking forward to the hassle of getting it repaired (because by all accounts it sounds like hassle with OP is on the cards) Everything I've tried myself points to a physical problem with the lens. I thought that it happened when i applied the 3.2.7 update at first - but looking back through my photos, I had a couple of blurred ones the day before.

I factory reset it, and then rolled it back to Oxygen 3.2.6 to check if any effect - but had none

I to had this same issue and have to say I was very impressed with Oneplus' repair turnaround. Sent via UPS on 18th October Received back on the 25 October - total of 5 working days.
New camera module installed and all working ok now

When I raised the service request I made sure I told them about the problem and then explained steps I had taken (I.E factory reset, upgraded to 3.2.7 still no difference) got the RMA and shipping label within 24 hours. Maybe now they have UK O2 on board they have had to improve the repair turnaround?

I have had similar problems and have been tweeting @oneplus_support who suggested the old Clear Cache, and then Recovede Mode > Clear Cache options which did nothing. They've asked me to send a DM now so am curious to see how long the RMA takes when sent from Ireland...

Hi guys. Not sure if this is the same issue faced by you guys. But i have focus problems with vidz especially when filming a baby. Distance is abt 1m away and i keep loosing focus at 15sec, 30sec and 40sec as seen in this link. I had to tap on the screen to manually focus each time. Do i have a faulty camera or is this just the way the OP3 is like? I had no such issues on my old Galaxy S6. Pls help. Thank you.

Not sure if this is for me but i am running 3.2.7. And i ordered my phone from overseas and this needs to go thru them(3rd party seller) for any warranty claims. Will be quite a hassle.

bro just update it to 3.2.8 or flash it to community build 3.5.4.
or you should try open beta 7

So the focus issue is a known issue for 3.2.7? I am too lazy to flash myself and 3.2.8 is not out yet here in Singapore it seems.

New update has just been released. That should help if you haven't already sorted the issue.

My camera has started doing this for the last few weeks. It's really annoying how I can even use the camera on it now more, and it's even more annoying that I will have to send it off to be sorted and be without a phone or have to buy a new phone while this is being repaired. So I'm out of pocket either way. How long will it take to be received repaired and sent back if I'm from UK? Thanks

Same issue here.. phone has been working fine for the past 4 months.. but suddenly since last 3 weeks back camera can't auto focus and pictures are all blurry.. there has been no physical damage to phone so this is quite surprising.. anyone knows what's the issue here?
