    Hey guys,

    I'm in a bit of a tiff,

I'm getting the HTC 10 for 549USD and I'd like to know your take on it. Is it worth paying the extra bucks over the OP3?

    Cheers.

Try to compare the iphone 6s plus (just a little bigger than the OP3) in your hand and the HTC 10 with smaller screen. If you are going to root your device, i think you just need to look at the specs. 1080p vs 1440p. If you are going to use stock software, i would go with the clean OP3 instead of the HTC with sense.

Better software (camera app, audio manager, personalization)
    Better customer support
IPS panel instead amoled (this is personal)
More comfortable (this is personal too)

HTC 10 for sure at this price.Htc 10 is a complete phone. It has everything and its definitely a complete package.
It has great camera, display, audio, build quality, better after sales support, nice software as well.
Htc 10 also gives a pure advantage over Op3-Expandable storage upto 2 tb.It also has rare advantage of having a dedicated micro sd slot. That means u can use dual sims+micro sd card at the same.

    @Tbjames
I went for the HTC 10. Having owned both OPO and OP2, i was disappointed with the software and the updates I was getting and was looking for a complete phone which ticked all the features I wanted in order to keep my phone for at least 2 years. OnePlus 3 is great phone, but the camera while being good isnt the best and I listen to a lot of music and having a dedicated hi res DAC and amp is great, and with the HTC boomsound audio tweaks is amazing sound and doesn't requite any modifications and tuning. For example in this case I would have to root and get viper4android to get a high quality sound on Oneplus 3. Both have similar battery life but the display on the HTC 10 is one of the best, it's IPS but has a great wide colour range and colours pop without being over saturated and the display is also 2K res instead of pentile OLED so you can easily notice the extra pixels.
TL;DR I wanted an complete phone, with great camera, audio and software experience which would not require me to root or modify my phone and last me at least 2 years

I was almost locked on getting the OP3 but instead I am ordering the HTC 10. The OP3 looks great but here are my reasons for the HTC:

    I prefer slightly smaller phones
Better screen (I personally prefer LCD)
    Better support
    Better audio
QC instead of Dash (I know that Dash is better but QC is more common and i already have a few QC accessories)

I considered htc10 before, but it does not support lte band 4 in Canada. No good to use in Canada.

I had the HTC 10 .... and returned it ... was not very impressed.

    Comes down to personal preference
Ignore the tech specs .... sometimes less is more

OP 3 seems easy to repair if something ... HTC 10 is pain to open...

    Dont think twice bruh.

HTC 10 is the best way to go if you getting a good deal with it.

Always remember, in life, cheap things always have more flaws then expensive things. and to OP fans,.. i dont mean to blast OP of being cheap, which actually it is.. its a very good budget phone company.

But rather HTC, where there are many more support centers, and many more support people to help you out.. unlike OP whereby they cut users off during live chat(hasnt happened to me, but i have read many posts by angered fans). And also they take a lot of time to repair if anything is wrong, as they have more workload and less staff compared to the giant HTC.

Speaking of staff - if you could care less of software support or OS in general, OP3 is fine. But if you want updated stuff in short time spans, or latest stuff - then HTC is your go. With their big teams, updates are delivered faster than OP.

But end the end of the day, Pick one that makes you happy.

    Cheers

Yeah I don't see myself paying that much for the HTC but for $500-530? Yeah I'll spend the extra $120 over the OP3
