OP3 in return of OP2 ?!

What do you think?

  1. Game Changing! OnePlus should definitely consider it.

  2. Too good to be true!

    Oh, well this is going to be a dream come true for all OnePlus 2 users out there. The strategy I am going to put forward may sound weird, deceiving and most awkward but it does the math. No company has ever tried this feat out and probably, never will. But as I see OnePlus with a different perspective and not among the bunch of other companies.

    Actually, I had this in mind when OnePlus mocked the following offer stated by Carl Pei,

    I had a gut feeling that people would actually want to buy our phone even if it was more expensive. That’s why we had our campaign last year called “Smash the Past,” where people had to submit their flagship smartphone that was more expensive than the OnePlus One in order to get the OnePlus One for free.

    Let's not smash it up this time but balance the math. In short, Let's #Never Settle.

    I also remember a dream to exchange a flagship every year with an additional price. Imagine the finances and traffic, the number of buyers growing exponentially every year. Do the Math. It works out( I ain't Rich Purnell ). Let me show you few stats on the paper.

    Let's say OnePlus 3 will cost around 25,000 - 27,000 INR for higher variant and the 32 Gig model for 21,000 to 23,000 INR. This is the maximum retail price. Take a review or refurbished unit of OnePlus 3 (64 GB) which can go on sale at 19,000 to 20,000 INR. If and all we are given a chance by OnePlus to exchange OnePlus 2 which can presently sell about 16,000 INR second handed, additionally paying 5,000 INR. It's going to meet the refurbished price of OnePlus 3 64 GB model. The rest 1k can either be offered as a treat by OnePlus or balanced in additional pay.

    That's just one direction. Now let me speak for OnePlus. How many 32GB/ 16 GB models of OnePlus One or OnePlus 2 have been sold out. I literally have seen none having a lower variant of OnePlus flagships except for review units. If and all this scheme of mine follows up. Instead of offering refurbished OnePlus 3. They can offer OnePlus 3 lower 32 GB variant for the same. I am sure the number who are going to take over new OnePlus 3 will be huge this way too. This way an equivalent number of both variants can be sold.

    Stats :

    Presently its just a simple idea in my head but you can turn this into real world marketing strategy wherein OEMs and customers are super happy. I am thankful for giving your time for reading this post. If you feel the same as I do then vote the poll below. Make sure you drop in your email and Facebook IDs too, so that polling results aren't blamed as spammed robotic gesture (In order to submit stats if asked by OnePlus). I hope you carry on this vision and share this until it reaches OnePlus's HQ (in a positive attitude, Of course!)

    If this turns into something big . The whole smartphone market is going to shift on OnePlus' side. Give it a thought. Join the voice. Let's take this forward in postive attitude.

    Wondering what made me start this thread?

    My answer;

    OnePlus, "Created Together With Our Fans".
