Only if you use the community build apparently.

EE don't support the oneplus currently, I think they only do it for the phones they sell

They say they only do it for the phones they sell but VoLTE and wifi calling are supposedly standard in Marshmallow which is why out of the box Galaxy S7s bought online will work.

Given than the OP3 runs marshmallow it would be a disappointment if it won't do wifi calling. I'll experiment when it comes but can always use TuGo in the meantime.

True, they do sell the S7's though which is probably why they work. (already set up in the system), my OP3 doesn't yet.
Haven't looked at TuGo as yet.

I've got my phone and it is unlocked. All I need now is an EE sim to test out wifi calling. How long before the beta (community) build goes OTA? I'm not wildly keen about being a tester

So, it's it just EE that volte works with in the UK?

As well as inbuilt WiFi calling.?

    Hi again
So I have my EE sim today and as expected if I go into setting and search wifi calling (I can't find this anywhere in the settings menu) and turn it on, nothing happens - in fact if I search it again it has switched itself off. I'm on OTA build 3.2.7 so should I wait for the next OTA or flash the phone to the community build which you say will allow me the vital wifi calling? How long does it take and are there any disadvantages at all of doing so?

    Cheers in advance
    Ed

I only noticed the VoLTE option after flashing the community build. When I selected it, I almost immediately received a text from EE saying that wifi calling had been set up. I realise that VoLTE and wifi calling are not the same thing (but related). Just reporting what I did and what happened. Screenshots show the option, the text, and the VoLTE indicator. And both wifi and VoLTE calling do seem to be working for me.

Thanks - is it a simple process to change to the beta build? The download instruction talks about having Oxygen recovery and the correct 'adb files' installed. I have no idea what they even are!

It's not hard, as long as you follow instructions carefully. I'm very familiar with it on other phones but had done nothing similar on this phone, so I was very careful.

Instructions for downloading and installing the adb and fastboot programs are in many places, but I would suggest looking at this thread specifically about the OP3 - the third post has the relevant bit on adb/fastboot : http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/oneplus-3-how-to-unlock-bootloader-t3398733

Once you have adb/fastboot installed on your computer, use the official download page for guidance and for downloading the ROM itself (link at bottom of page): http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_3.5.5_community_build/

Then I suggest the very clear instructions for installation using stock recovery (which is what you have) here: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...ty-beta-with-stock-or-custom-recovery.467808/

Only one thing that might be confusing. When it says enter the following command : adb sideload <filename> you have to replace <filename> with the actual name of the ROM file you downloaded (and without the <>)

That's concerning. I am thinking about a change to EE for WiFi calling.

Did you call them and ask it to be activated?
