Now been on EE for a week or so.
Seems slightly better signal wise over 3.

VOLTE giving 4G where three would have been on H+.

Shame wifi calling relies on their firmware though.

Headline speeds a little higher than three in same areas.

    Thanks for reply.

Its really annoying EE is not selling OnePlus they should at least let people with such devices to activate function on their phone.

    True, it's voLTE only atm.
About the best 4g coverage though still.

Presuming O2 won that contact to sell the OnePlus, EE are going to push the phones they can sell with the better features.

iPhone has wificall on EE, it is not true that only phones sold by EE has got wifi call option on EE. For example Blackberry Priv unlocked will work fine. It is up to factory software to get it enabled on phone. If OP will get these settings build in to phone we will see wifi call option in enhanced calling settings.

I understand, thank you that's helpful to know.

Loved the feature when I had my iPhone particularly on the London underground where mostly you have no signals but can use WiFi to call.

Is there any UK network which supports Wifi calling through the OP3?

I thought once O2 started selling them that they would enable it, but nada.

Although, I had always thought for any phone it would require their firmware for voWifi, regardless of what carrier.
This doesn't seem to be the case as my unbranded unlocked S8 worked out the box with EE voWifi. I only had to flash the EE fw to get Volte.

Ugh, so it's obviously on the Carrier's end... And they obviously don't give a sh*t...

    Thanks for the reply though!

So surely if it is just a carrier thing where they're looking for specific device IDs to match a database etc, can't some clever people over at XDA make a kernel perhaps that will identify our devices as something else for the purpose of getting WIFI Calling working?

I was in an O2 shop today and they said that the O2 WiFi calling would work without any problems on O2 using a Oneplus 3t bought elsewhere. Apparently they add it to your contract if you ask for it.
