    Before
we begin we´d like to pay homage to the original Flashaholics, Mental support group for (ROM) flashaholics. This thread reached legendary status on the forum in the times of The OPO. Sadly, the originals and many of the good folks who frequented that thread have now moved on but we´d like to give them a special mention here, for creating that highly enjoyable, helpful, educational thread . So, without further ado we tip our hats and dedicate this thread to the original Flashaholics……… @Greg0410 @Niels_Andersen @xoqes88 @jmkd @DaxNagtegaal . Many others participated in the thread and it was a joy.

We are creating this thread for people who are flashaholics like our good selves @theshinybeast (OP3) @KforHorizon ( OP3T ) and @The Imp (OP2)
It has been made in order to enable us, and of course, you, to share all the experiences or the problems all of us may encounter while testing out any ROM. Feel free to tag us or anybody who you know of is a Flashaholic.

There is also a brother/sister thread [OP2] Mental Support Group for Flashaholics 2.0 . Do check it out if you are an OP2 user, it is maintained by @The Imp @locxFIN

If you are not sure how to flash ROMs please search in the forums and read the following
    1. Read, read, read and read again. Make sure you have a reasonable working knowledge of what you are about to do. You should have a reasonable idea of adb/fastboot commands, unbrick tools ,in general how to flash and how to save yourself if something does go wrong. Do NOT just jump in at the deep end thinking this is going to be easy because a lot of others are doing it.

    2. When confident you have gained sufficient knowledge, follow instructions CAREFULLY of what you are about to do. Unlocking your bootloader, flashing TWRP( the correct version of course), and flashing ROMs, firmware, etc can cause problems. So make sure you do it right.

    3. Backup EVERYTHING!!!!!! When you have finally unlocked that bootloader and installed TWRP on your device you MUST make an EFS backup and a Nandroid backup.

4.Buy, yes buy, Titanium Backup. You'll want the paid version if you're anyway serious about flashing ROMs. Plus the fact that it's simply a superb app and the dev deserves that money.

5.As you've seen until now this all requires a little effort on your part, get used to it. You'll have to keep yourself up to date on any new developments in all the "tools" mentioned above. This could be newer versions of TWRP for example, and more importantly new ROMs ,Kernels etc and it's really up to you to be responsible for knowing what's what.

6.To follow up on #5 Don't be that gal or guy who wants things spoonfed to them all the time. An occasional question or petition of your fellow flashaholics is of course fine but if this turns into a habit you'll quickly find out that answers and replies will dry up pretty quickly. Noone likes a sponger who wants you to do all the work for them, so, you know, don't do it.

7.The only person in any way responsible for any damage that may occur to your device for flashing any of the roms that may be discussed here or you have seen somewhere else, is yourself. So even though people will be willing to help you out, the final blame for a brick is, you guessed it,YOU.

8.Be nice, most people on here or any other forum are here to share and help out so don't be ignorant. Keep it civilised.A bit of banter is always welcome and enjoyed by all so don't be over sensitive.

9.Have fun. This is the main reason you're flashing all this stuff on your phone. Yes it also makes it faster, longer battery life, more practical for your needs but I'm guessing the main reason you're a flashaholic is because you enjoy all that tinkering.

    10. All the above will NOT make you cooler

All the above will NOT make you more popular.

All the above will NOT get the attention of that cool dude or that beautiful chick you're drooling over.

All the above will NOT make you better than anybody else.

All the above WILL put you in the driver's seat!
    .
There are also great guides on all you need to know by @Funk Wizard and @Naman Bhalla for your Oneplus 3 / 3T.
A special thanks to the mods @noquarter and @gusuraman for their help in setting this all up.

Disclaimer : We are in no way responsible for any damage that may occur to your phone for flashing any of the ROMs mentioned here. A certain amount of friendly banter shall occur and will be permitted in this thread, so don´t panic and be nice.

Enough of the serious sh** .Lets FLASH!!

Below are ROMs that have been used by members of this thread.Note, we are NOT the devs and have zero input with the development of the ROMs. Furthermore, we would like to give a big shout out to all the devs involved for there fantastic work which we appreciate wholeheartedly, so hats off to the devs.

Would be great if a hyperlink has been given with the ROM names. I'll try to give some review about the ROMs I have tested. Adding this thread to watch list.

I have flashed the Official resurrection remix 7.1.1 with OMS (version 5.8.1). If my OnePlus 3 wasn't my daily driver, I'd be trying different ROMs.

I have found the Substratum a not so good replacement for CMTE. Most of the themes for substratum end up not allowing me to access the settings of some Google Apps while I am using the theme. I have found *one* theme that seems to work perfectly and it is a dark theme: Flux by giannisdx89 (John Xionidis)

CMTE vs Substratum is a hot topic. We don't know what are the plans of Lineage OS team regarding this.

Today I've seen some patches from Clarke in lineage gerrit but yesterday I've seen the news that CMTE is dead. Donno what to believe and what not.

Anyway subs is bit complicated when compared to CMTE but it has lot of options. We all need choices in life. So it'll be a good healthy completion between them.
