Iam on Tmobile and my OP3 has issues with LTE and I am in orange county, CA. The LTE icon switch with 4G+ back and forth whenever I visit a website or do a speedtest and the speed is horrible (less than 5 mbps) . Did you notice anything like that?

No, I do not have any issues. The closest tower is only about 0.5 miles away. When I am uploading or downloading, the LTE signal bar does lower a segment or so, but that is normal during data exchange. Here is a screen grab of my settings for T-Mobile. Since they no longer charge for data roaming these days in the USA, they suggest you enable it.

This is a screen capture from my OP3.

You can notice the LTE switching to 4g+ constantly. Did you notice anything like that on your phone?

By the way what is your device model number? Mine is A3000

No. I tested my Nexus 5 and galaxy S6 with the same network and the same location and I get 20 Mbps on both devices. 3g speeds are 5 mbps. I think my device is not working properly and I issued a RMA to get a replacement.

Im on AT&T and the flickering of LTE/4G+ happens to me too, but only about 10% of the time. It happens more near my house than at work, drving etc. I thought it was my SIM card but it looks like Im not the only one who has this issue.

It's not an 'issue'. 4G+ means it's using multiple bands for a file transfer, and you'll only see it when it's actively doing it.

I'm totally guessing here, but I'm thinking it's trying to do LTE-A, but having issues with talking to the tower that's on the secondary band, and screwing it all up. This is really just a guess.
