Could be the battery is nearing the end of its life span, or other HW related issues.

If the problem persist after a factory reset, I suggest you take or send your device into a OnePlus service center for inspection of possible repairs.

Not really a noob but I've have my 3 for a few years. Still a great phone.

Anyway we have a old TV with HDMI inputs but is not smart. I have bought a type C to HDMI connector and linked them together so Incan watch films from my phone on the TV

Nothing is happening right now. Do I have to do something on my 3 to make this happen?

    Thanks

    Chris

OP3 doesn't support MHL, so no there is nothing you can do to get video out via USB.

Hi all, I've been searching for a while and I just need someone to redirect me to simple instructions for updating my rooted 3T on 5.0.8 to 9.0.4. I've been googling and searching on YouTube and this forum but can't find info specific to me. I'm 100% sure someone has posted this question before but the search tools on this app are quite poor. Thanks for any help

From the App drawer swipe left for hidden spaces, a password can be set to access hidden Apps.

Use the browser version of OnePlus forums, search among other tools work great there.

A good place to look for answers, would the the XDA forums OnePlus 9.0.4 thread.

Directions/instructions on how to upgrade a modified 3/3T from OOS 5.0.X > 9.0.X have been the main topic of discussion for some time now.

    I suggest you start searching/reading here;

I was able to find the info I needed there thanks! Although I also had to deal with some trial and error. Luckily less error! Who knew you could copy files with your computer to your phone while in TWRP?!

    Paschfire, Aug 4, 2019 :
Yes, TWRP is a very versatile custom recovery. There's not much it cannot do.

Glad to hear you got your device successfully upgraded to OOS 9.0.4 Android Pie 9. Enjoy!

    Cheers!

hello, i am using TheOneOS (based on oos 9.0.4).. looking for a recommendation for a battery saving kernel.

    Paschfire, Aug 5, 2019 :
Franco Kernel is a good choice for battery and performance.

Again XDA would be the gotto for information on kernel flashing, btw I'd think most users would be better served reading and understanding the pinned battery threads than flashing a new kernel.

Probably because there is no FK build released yet for Pie 9 custom ROMs.
