    Joel Jacob , Feb 22, 2020 :

    Hey everyone,

Last weekend, we were at the third edition of Open Ears Forum, India, in Goa with 30 community members to discuss Red Cable Club. What started out as a call to build Red Cable Club together as a community turned out to become our first brand-oriented Open Ears Forum with the most diverse set of attendees.

We met the evening before OEF, to get to know each other over dinner and life-sized Jenga :D
Here, we got a glimpse of the kind of discussions we could expect at the forum since each one had a unique experience and an understanding of premium memberships.

We started with a quick catch up on our activities in India followed by an introduction to Red Cable Club and our goals for the future. As most of you may know, Red Cable Club is a program that is created with the community, for the community. Keeping this mind, we continued our day with an aim to understand and design Red Cable Club benefits with one another.

We divided our discussions on the basis of phone ownership experiences and community experiences as part of Red Cable Club.

To kick off our brainstorm on phone ownership experiences, we had a guest speaker, Mr. Gaurav Arora give us an idea about industry benchmarks for personal membership benefits, speaking from his experience as Director of customer engagement at American Express and other brands he’s worked with. Following this, we discussed and presented plans for personal benefits under Red Cable Club.

Our second session focused on shared community experiences and like the first one, also started with a guest speaker - Mr. Nimish Raut. Nimish is the current country lead for Fnatic in India and spoke about the importance of community from his experiences with Riot Games and RedBull.

After session 2, we summed up some of the most talked-about points from both sessions and concluded OEF day. But we had one surprise left before everyone could head back. A week before OEF, some of our community members asked if we could get the Concept One to Goa. We didn’t respond then, but we held one product briefing exclusively for this edition of Open Ears Forum.

And with that, we officially closed our third edition of Open Ears Forum and head to the lawn outside, by the beach, to “Seas the Night”. I’ll let the pictures do the talking here.

Oef 2020 is something which will always be an integral part of my lifetime experience.
Not just because of the fun, parties OnePlus organized but also due to the community of like minded people!
From getting schooled by prof. for not studying :p to finding a support system @doctorparadox from meeting @camohan to getting autograph of @Joel Jacob, its an experience that cannot be explained with mere words.
Finding a birthday twin on forums (thank you @Impersonal) and meeting them in real life is a lifetime achievement!
Dancing with hearts out without fear of being judged was taught by OEF 2020

Being happy for a moment was taught by OEF 2020.
I don't know what future holds for me. But at least I am happy that I got to experience something epic once in my life time!

    Starcommander is better :p

Why you do this to me, @Joel Jacob?

We could've skipped the recap this time. This recap only makes me see all the cool stuff I missed. So sad. :(
