So ive seen many users (including me ) hated the new truecaller from cos12.1, i know this is an old topic and many of you already solve it by flashing the stock google dialer... The problem with flashing this dialer is that the stock dialer is unthemeable as many of you have noticed so it will look out of place while all your apps are themed, so i managed to find a dialer (not the stock one),and i found the cm nightlies one so it should theme as normal.

Thanks to bigdave79 (I figured out how to make it work)

    *What it does?
Deletes the truecaller apk, CM dialer and in call UI (DialerNext and INCallUINext) and replaces it with the dialer/call UI from the most recent CM 12.1 Nightly.

    *What you need?
    TWRP Recovery

    *Steps
-Make a full TWRP Backup (System,Data,Boot)
-Go to Wipe and do a Factory Reset not an advance wipe
-Once your wipe is completed go to install and flash the "Dialer.zip"
-Reboot system without cleaning dalvik or cache
-Make all the startup process again (Cause you make a factory reset) and verify if you have the new dialer and not the truecaller one
-Once you verified you have the cm nightlies dialer go again to TWRP then go to Restore and restore Data and boot (No system)
-Now you have your themeable dialer and all your apps again!

When you make a backup in TWRP you backed up the data, when this data is erased by a wipe it can be restored again

He was saying that he would not loose his data(Apps and info) just for a dialer, but the steps i wrote clearly saves and restores all your data leading to not loosing anything

If you're restoring the data position backup after the install, why wipe data at all?

Because data will contain the old dialer while flashing and avoiding the cleansing of the caches will keep the new one

That makes no sense. The dialer is a system apk. There may be dialer data stored in data, but restoring the backup is just going to put the old dialer data right back.

I tried to make it simple by just wiping factory without redownloading again cos, it should work both ways... By just restoring the data again
