I got one of those batteries that has a jump starter. Works great. Would rather buy that for $100

USB Type-C is a standard for a connector. The OP2 has a real Type-C connector.
What can be achieved by that connector (USB 3.1 and high power) is another talk.

A rusty car painted new is still a rusty car, so it should be labelled as such.

Doing otherwise is faking the truth.

I feel the same about USB-C.

3.1 support and USB-C go hand in hand. You have to have both, to have official USB-C support.

Yes i think it can be considered a gimmick.
But personally I don't care usb 3 in the phone (usb 2 speed is enough for me).
I was hoping in the fast charge. But again it's not very important for me. I usually charge the phone overnight.

    I agree as well.
The whole reversible vs convnience of having alot of microusb cables everywhere kind of equals out, because they both have equal pros and cons.

Only because the OP2 has USB2. If it was 3.1 compatible, it would easily over take MicroUSB, even if everyone and everywhere has a MicroUSB cable atleast somewhere.

Im fine with a gimmick usbc for now. Its not like i'll be transferring 50GB of stuff, and its also not like phone batteries can handle a 100 watt current for charging.. So realistically, USBc's full potential wont even be utilize for a year or two
