Wondering if anyone can throw any light on this issue for me please.

I have had my OPX since November 10/11th 2015 so just short of a year.

I noticed today that if i put my phone in landscape whilst on a light background, my status bar icons are still there (battery, wifi, signal, etc) faint and slightly orange/yellow but there none the less.

Firstly does this sound like burn in to you guys, and secondly would this be covered under the warranty for a repair/replacement? Might sound a bit drastic but ive never had this issue with any phone before. Oh and also my battery life has gotten ridiculous, to the point where I carry a power bank around with me 24/7 just incase lol

Anyway any help on this issue would be great.

    Yeah that's burn in

Do you have your phone on max brightness lots. That's probably why

You could try running a burn in app

Melatonin is said to help with sleep issues. If only we could buy a new phone after this one breaks, right :(

Great.... thought it was burn in.

Yeah it's on full brightness pretty much all the time, beer really saw the point in having a great display dimmed and ruining the experience lol.

So I guess warranty issues are out of the question too.....

Do those apps 'really' do anything to help the burn in? Or do they just degrade the rest of your screen to match the already burnt in section?

I've owned many amoled devices and i keep might brightness below half way so i've never experienced it

Higher brighness ages the screen early, especially blue colours

also yes those apps just degrade the rest

I'd suggest using lower brightness setting. it might even go away who knows
