does OnePlus 5t supports external hard drives through otg ???
does it support WD 1 tb hard drive.
Yes i tried it on 2tb and it can still read the content
yes i'm using 2tb toshiba hard disk
I don't know about the technical side of this. But connecting a larger HDD will make any power power problems? I mean I know that a normal PC USB can provide the juice enough to run. But can the phone provide that?
Yes but the battery goes down very quickly.
Worked on my 8TB drive with a OTG adapter and OTG enabled in System | Settings | Advanced | OTG storage | Switched to enabled /on
Yes it should because it uses too much juice. What I meant was is the phone USB can provide the enough power to the HDD to run on full power.
Did you connected an external power source to the HDD or just powered it via USB?
I used a hard drive that is an external drive. The drive is powered by its own power supply.
In today's world every external drive larger than 2 TB is likely to include, and need, it's own power supply.
huh...huh... I know that it's an external HDD. It should be. internal can't connect directly. no offence.
just wanted to know that the phone can run without problems with juicing up the HDD also.
