I use a dark theme in the evening, at night, while during the day I use a white theme. Visibility is the best, and also in that way I prevent screen burn and other problems for the screen (at least I think) xD

No issues with screen burn in here, and I've used dark mode exclusively since it was released. I find it very legible during the day, and it's been shown to provide a very nice body to battery life.

Try switching for a week and see if you changed your mind...

I'm using qhd and 120hz refresh and I'm consistently getting 8+ hours SOT. Based on some of the discussion so far that number varies for people. Some apps and games are power hogs. How people use their phones effects that number too. Whatever I'm doing is getting me really good battery life on the 8 Pro.

Well maybe, with the 8 pro, we might not face any issues as of now, maybe they might have worked really well on all the battery aspects, but with my 7 pro, it is quite a good phone, but the constant heat issues, that's just annoying me.

I saw some people talking about Dark Mode. I use dark mode on every app I can. I have done tons of tests and using dark mode always gets me more SOT. On the 7T I get like 45 mins of extra SOT just by using dark mode. Maybe we should edit the OP and mention dark mode.

Have you backed it up and then wiped it recently? I wonder if that would help those issues

Yes it is. It is encrypted less trackers or non (from fdroid) and very user friendly. And works great. It is a battery drainer but like MosheG1 mentions below... the screen always on... camera, internet connection etc. On my 6, it drains the full charged battery within 2.5-3hrs of use.

I agree @Texasaggie1. One of the first things I do is enable Dark Mode.
