N1596742608689 , via OnePlus 8 Verizon , Oct 23, 2020 : Anyone know when verizon model of 1 plus 8 is getting oxygen 11? I can't find an answer anywhere!!!
ankitmaity , via OnePlus 8 , Oct 23, 2020 : Obviously you'll get it, all OP phones will get 2 years of OS updates.
ankitmaity , via OnePlus 8 , Oct 23, 2020 : Use Oxygen Updater, flash the NA version, might lose compatibility with some Verizon bands tho.
mcgowane79 , via OnePlus 8 Verizon , Oct 24, 2020 : I also have the Verizon OnePlus 8 and I checked oxygen updater and it states the Verizon version is not supported because it's a carrier exclusive. No way to update it
Geekd4d , Oct 26, 2020 : Seeing how verizon isn't going to be carrying the 8T or 8 Pro because of how poorly the 8 sales did, I'm curious if we will ever get it at all, and only receive security updates... Why would vzw dump money into a small dev team/person for hardware they don't seem to really even want?
raygun , via OnePlus 8 T-Mobile , Oct 27, 2020 : why buy a Verizon oneplus 8 when there really isn't much 5g on verizon the T-Mobile version sold well and the 8t is selling well
Y1605216157908 , Nov 15, 2020 : hola tengo esta versión de Verizon, quiero instalar ROM global no importa perder cinco bandashello I have this version Verizon, I want to install global ROM it does not matter losing Verizon bands I do not live in the usa. I need help thanks
Geekd4d , Dec 9, 2020 : Still nothing on verizon. Has it even been delivered to vzw? (I know they need to go in and add in drivers, and then lock down their crap)
repairadam , Jan 24, 2021 : Every other phone company has updated their phones to 11 even crappy TCL!! How embarrassing for Oneplus! So disappointed I got this phone wish I waited 30 days for the Pixel 5. Never again. We will be updated when android 12 is released. TCL is beating Oneplus. Wow. Just wow.
Vansh99 , Jan 24, 2021 : Carrier phones tend to lag behind when providing software updates most of the time. It's more of Verizon's "fault" than OnePlus's. It's a known fact that carriers usually are behind with software updates compared to the OEM of the phone, perhaps if faster updates were something you really really wanted, picking a carrier device wasn't the best option.
H1541620567882 , Jan 26, 2021 : Of course it will. OP will deliver the update to VZW. Verizon will release it. It's not like they need a dedicated team for this. They won't just say "Oh, thanks for the update but we won't release it since we didn't sell that many". And how do you know they didn't sell that many? Because there's no 8t? Maybe Verizon doesn't want 4 OP's on sale at the same time (lol) so it is waiting on the 9.
D1586966521309 , via OnePlus 8 Verizon , Jan 27, 2021 : Still waiting....months later. Biggest regret of my life was purchasing this phone on Verizon (even though it only cost me $150 after trading in a Droid Turbo)
collije , Feb 3, 2021 : Are you getting laggy and "System UI Isn't Responding" like I have on the VZN OnePlus 8 after the SU4 (System Update 4 aka Android 11)?
collije , Feb 5, 2021 : I'm on my 2nd phone (it's my business phone so Verizon escalation allowed me to switch out). Happening to a lesser degree on the replacement phone. I'll guess the amount of apps (over 200) and use of widgets might be contributing
