    retro_man , Feb 10, 2020 :
Since updating to the latest OS I've got the following problems.
This is after I've rebooted the phone twice.

    - WiFi does not connect to any of my saved networks.
    - The display brightness pulses up and down (dark to bright) as thought its over compensating for the ambient light.
    - The battery drain is cosmic ! Wilst trying to connect on WiFi for 20 minutes I lost 30% of the battery.

    Any ideas ?

I have also posted in another thread but since this one is focused in wifi issues I thought about re-posting it:
since the latest android 10 update I am having a significant problem in my OP 6. The "scanning always available" in my wifi preferences menu turns on without me selecting it. I am turning it back off but it goes on automatically. Wifi scanning and all the other wifi settings and location are turned off.
    Any ideas or similar problems?
    Thank you.

You could try resetting the WiFi option, see if it makes a difference.

Settings, System, Reset Options, Reset WiFi Mobile Bluetooth

Failing that try the cache wipe suggestion I posted above, no guarantee, but it has been known to fix some odd issues here and there.

    Thank you very much,
I have reset the wifi settings, currently testing if that suggested solution works!
    Cheers!

Hello, I have the same problem since update 10.31.1, but now I cannot receive and make calls, I have tried another sim but it is the same, the problem only occurs on my phone. I have reset two times, but it still doesn't work.

Of course, it was the first thing I did and still presented the novelty, then opted for the total reset of the phone, finally delete wipe and cache. But still unable to call, even change sim probe in both slots but nothing.

I would suggest contacting OnePlus directly to see if they can help, you seem to have pretty much tried everything else.

Scroll down the page for contact details. They have chat support.

Unfortunately the wifi settings reset didnt really help so I will need to go on and wipe the cache and see if that works.
Is this going to affect the data that I have in my phone?

It will MOST DEFINITELY effect all of the data you have on your phone. You need to do a complete and full backup as everything will be erased.

Other than resetting your WIFI on the phone,as per details above, or failing that, backup your phone and do a full Nuclear Erase Delete All Data reset. And see if either of those help.

Beyond that, contact OnePlus support directly.

Scroll down the page for contact details.

1 -please re_connect all wifi and delete old saved un_use wifi password make sure you check a range of wifi
2- Brightness based on your senser clear your sensor and if it still not work then use it manually
3- Battery life based on your background use also you should switch apps, notifications of there not important, to optimise
and atlast do not use oxygen updater which is bundle of problems and so many risks are there in it and not official

Your last item mentions Don't use Oxygen Updater, which doesn't make sense.

I have only ever used this 3rd party update tool since I got the phone a year or more ago, don't use and never wait for inbuilt OTA files to become available.

Have installed all versions of Android 9 Pie Stable and Beta, same for Android 10, all versions of Stable and Beta, currently on 10.3.1. over the last year.

Never had an issue, phone works like it's on steroids, best piece if kit I ever had, absolutely no issues, great battery life too. Oxygen Updater pulls the same file from the same server, nothing added and nothing taken away.
