After waiting for ages for OOS2 and getting really angry, I flashed Cyanogenmod 12.1 and GApps. I realized I could have stopped being angry a lot of time ago, because CM 12.1 is so much better: stable, less bugs, more features, much longer battery life and will get a sure update to Android M in Q1 2016. So my advice: stop hoping for the impossible and drop OOS.

they will definetly give us OOS 2.0, so please don't comment saying they won't provide an update.

Sure they will...whenever that will be. And, wow, it will be Lollipop 5.1.1, while M has been out there for weeks. In the meantime CyanogenMod released the first M nightlies and stated that M snapshot (stable version) could come sometime in January.

When spring started this year my phone began to present very serious touch screen problems. It got worse in summer, up to the point that it was almost imposible to use.
I contacted OP Support and the solution they gave me was to install Oxygen OS. I did it and happily the problem was fixed.
Then after months waiting for an update for Oxygen for OPO to solve the bugs that it has and understanding that is very likely it will never come, I decided to install COS 12.1 thinking that touch screen issues were behind for THE OFFICIAL OS FOR OPO. Now, less than one day of use, and having a lot of difficulties to type a simple post. Complete disaster.
Does anyone is going through the same hell? What will be the answer now from OP, if any? Go and install an outdated OS whose updating is not a priority for the company?

Well, now please, does anyone know if some ROM will keep my phone away from the infamous touchscreen issues besides the outdated Oxygen? I'll really appreciate some help here.
    Cheers

I have moved over to Sultan ROM for Marshmallow and it works fine and smooth. Check over at XDA.

Many of you are probably waiting for this update, some may have lost hope.

Regardless, while you wait or whatever, here is a alternative of Android M, that I myself recommend. There are only a few bugs, feels smooth, fast, battery life is decent, very regular updates and knowledgeable developer, who always responds to comments on his thread and so on.

This is @Aaahh 's ROM, MARSH.

Please take a look, enjoy. Currently using as my daily driver.

I'm not posting this for him or just to advertise, just for you guys to have some fun while you wait or whatever you do. Enjoy Android M!

    Well

Guys if you really want, I can (maybe) make an update. It'd be buggy for sure.
Before I make this claim tho, let me look at a system dump.

Rather than an update, couldn't you make a stock clean ROM based on Android M which is the same as Oxygen OS in features and has same layout? Would that be easier? Sort of like Nexus 6P
