use the roll back package in OP
Magisk Hide. Or wait for Google to fix their shit.
Great Beta so far, although today I experienced a new bug that didn't let me activate the torch. I tried clicking it but the torch would not activate, I made sure I was not in any app that would use the led lights i.e. camera app etc. After I restarted the phone it worked fine.
I also find the portrait mode in the new beta is quite slow and laggy to capture as compared to the previous stable software.
Well I'll wait..I don't want to bother with rooting.. actually I don't want to bother with setting up my device after rooting

Patience, young padawan.
Why you preferred a ram cleaning option like samsung..,?
how about hotspot? I don't have it on att but OnePlus somehow made it possible.. will I still have it?? thanks
For the moment I'm stuck on Verizon Wireless in a family plan, however I did really want the OnePlus 6 and so far have been loving it. When I use the stable version (5.1.11), it disables me from being able to do any calling or texting, yet I did have and do have data capabilities. Honestly, I can work around that in using a Google number, Facebook Messenger, Google allo, Google Duo and so on...
I have fantastic Wi-Fi at home and I have Wi-Fi at work, and I have unlimited data up to 15 GB high speed. Aside from the fact that I cannot use one of my favorite apps, Android Messages, there's not really a problem.
However that's not why I'm here making a comment. I used both the developer preview and the beta version. Thing is, I was able to use calling, texting and "4G+" data when I was on the developer preview. When I was installed the beta version, I had serious Network connectivity issues. For brief moments (usually after starting the device) it would say "VoLTE" beside the data icon which also stated "LTE" but then soon after would disconnect and tell me that I had no service or (on occasion) that the Sim was not inserted. All that would be left is the empty triangle...
I reverted back to the stable version (5.1.11) and the same results persist to where I have data but cannot call or text just as before. I honestly love the beta version far more than I like the version I'm on now, but I can't do without network connectivity of any sort. I'm perfectly content with having no calling and texting (I kind of signed up for that when buying the OnePlus 6), but my data at least needs to be available. Not sure what the cause of this issue in the beta version, but I do know the capabilities are all there since I've already used them before.
On a side note, I really appreciate using the pill home button set up, the notification drop looks much better and the recents menu is much better laid out!
Seriously how can so many update to the Beta P and then ask how to downgrade, will it stable OTA?
Come on you read enough to flash the beta, read some more to downgrade and answer about further updates it's not splitting the atom or quantum physics it's called gaining some knowledge for yourself and sorting your own problem solving going forward. I'm impressed with you guys who keep answering but in all honesty I would leave them to it, that way they would have to learn for themselves.
This whole thread is littered with lazy flash first cry for answers later numbskulls it's a joke. It's not as though the instructions are vague or shady in post one, a child could follow. So all the flash first cry later crew man up, grow a pair and sort your own mistakes out!! There is no point even reading this thread it's nothing but the above mentioned.
no file available in local upgrade ?
After installing where i can download apps
Oh christ it's Android try the bloody play store!
Most of the times I nedd just one emoji..smiley face with gun pointed in the head..that emoji would be an answer to 90% of questions here
But how can he find that store..is it inside of some mall..is it just a store in the street..at some business building or maybe it is a stand..like newspaper stan..there are so many options
I agree 100%. "Lazy" is the operative work. I'm reasonably handy doing these things now, but it took quite some time of reading-failing-trying-repeat before I got to this point.
As for wanting to go back from the P beta, I can attest to the fact that it works quite well. I think those people shouldn't have tried it because their experience level is poor.
after downloading os zip file in settings> local upgrade> moove installation package into root directry appears
what to do
It is not the matter of experience.. it's the matter of trying something for yourself..how did you get experienced..you've tried until you learn..and idiots here don't want to try themself
Can you please explain what part from this guide you don't understand
