@Manu J.
You guys have messed up big time. Not only are there region-specific builds for OB1 this time (which still hasn't been made clear by you, btw), but OnePlus' support websites are linking to the incorrect ZIPs.
EU websites (UK, Italy, etc) are linking to the global ZIP for OB1. And global websites (US, Hong Kong, etc.) are listing EU ZIPs!!!
Proof that an EU support website is linking to the global ZIP:

How do I know that's a global ZIP? The OU team, along with a few others from XDA, extracted all the 3 different region-specific ZIPs, and painstakingly compared them.
The actual EU ZIP, which is linked only on global support websites, contains the following 2 lines in the
build.prop file, which is part of
opproduct.img, which was extracted from the
payload.bin file within each ZIP:

These 2 lines are not present in the global and Indian builds, obviously. However, as mentioned previously, the EU website doesn't link to the EU ZIP, when it's supposed to. And the global website doesn't link to the global ZIP either.
As further proof, we also found the
etc/sysconfig/eea_v1_search_chrome.xml this file ONLY within the EU ZIP. This file is present in
opproduct.img as well.
What the hell, man. Please escalate this so that both the product team, and the support team can fix this problem. So many users have already flashed EU firmware on their devices, even if they aren't in the EU. This is a very big mistake, and should be fixed ASAP.
The Oxygen Updater team has already published a news article in the app explaining the research that went into figuring all of this out, but I won't link it here, since that would be advertising. However, I urge users who have OU installed to check that article out.
