So, I flashed Oxygen OS Open Beta 13 2 days ago and inspite of very less usage also, the battery does not last for the full day. PS I want to make this clear that I was on Oxygen OS 4.0.2 before open beta 13. I performed a factory reset and then I flashed Open Beta 13 using ADB Sideload. Don't know about others but I feel that battery performance at my end is very poor. Please share your battery performance on this build. Mine is below

Clear Cache From Recovery... MOST Important is remove the old apps which you may install from a back up... download all your apps from Playstore again... you are good to go...

While it's not bad, OB13 has slightly poorer battery performance than OB12 in my experience. I always clean flash updates btw.

My initial experience was same as all of you.

But starting from third charge cycle I am getting better battery life than OB12.

I did a fresh install too.

Past 2 cycles I got ~4.5 and 5+ SOT with 1 Day 9 Hours of standby in both cases and near about 1.5 hours of volte calls.

Game playing, music and video playback, web browsing included.

I have decent knowledge on all this and I did the same as what you have mentioned. I never restore a backup from my account and instead I install each and every app again

Same here bro, I also clean flash the updates, taking a backup of my files, performing a factory reset and then flash the ROM using ADB Sideload. I clean installed Open Beta 13 and before that I was on 4.0.2 (This is just for info)

Still I feel that battery performance should not be this low even after people saying open beta 13 has slightly less battery life but in my case it's 2.5 hours SOT max, with very less usage. My screenshots reflect my usage which I've attached in the main post

I almost agree 100%. I'm rooted and use Titanium Backup. When I flash a new OS, I do a full wipe in recovery and then, after seeing you the phone, restore the apps without their data from my backup. There are a few apps that I know from experience that I can restore data and all. I never have issues, but that's based on knowing my particular situation by experience gained through trial and error.

my battery life on OB13 is great. Try backing up your data and doing a full wipe in recovery. then, as others have suggested, reinstall the apps one at a time and keep an eye out for the one or more that are causing the problem. good luck.

main reason is ... either people downloading APK from google or installing from a back up... old Apk/apps are Not Optimized for 7.1.1... for and example... if you were on 4.0.3 (7.0) ... and you downloaded apps .. and took Backup of all ur apps.. then you updated to 4.1.1 or Beta 13 (7.1.1).. now the real part is..people are lazy enough to install all apps from playstore... apps from old backup are optimized fot 7.0.. they will Genrate heat and eat ur battery because they will always use CPU all the time...

Hi, first of all thanks for replying

But I've already mentioned in my thread that I performed a clean installation of the ROM after taking full backup of my data and factory resetting the device. In one off my comments, I've also mentioned replying to one of the comments that I've installed each and every app by myself (This also helped me to clear out the u wanted apps from my phone :p)
Though the battery life is better after 4 recharge cycles but still I feel that Open Beta 11 was better.

Hi, first of all, thanks for replying,

Secondly I've mentioned in my thread that I performed a clean installation of the ROM and I've also mentioned in one of the replies to someone that I've installed each and every app by myself by searching them and then pressing the install button (I cannot make it clear more than this on how I installed each app by myself) Though the battery life is better after 4 recharge cycles

On the other hand, restoring apps from Google account sync backup reinstalls each and every app which you have selected from the playstore (Their latest version) with reconfirming to the permissions and not just flash apks which were part of my backup, so I guess this feature is worth using for normal users and I don't think that the feature works as you have mentioned in your comment
