As I posted, this got it working for my friend, who I talked into buying an OP7Pro, and it also worked for @Nic2112

*Comes out of the shadows after being summoned by @docnok63

Can confirm it works for me on Beta-2, I'm using Google's messaging app instead of the built-in and I do see the horizon lights.

It won't work if the screen is active (on) but if I send myself a text message (SIM-1 to SIM-2) and quickly hit the power button after hitting send, it will see the horizon light notification. I did change it to purple and then back to blue so I don't know if that was necessary to fix the problem or not.

Inside get an interesting bug while testing horizon lights.

I sent "test" from sim 1 to sim 2 and received it fine. I replied "okay" from sim 2 to sim 1 and received the same sms 3 times.

So why do people switch to beta?
It must be good for daily use

Well, not being able to go back to pie without wiping all data is not a huge issue for some. My music in on the cloud, so are my pictures, the only hassle is setting up the few applications I need and I'm done.

Some report better battery life, most report worse, but the impact of that differs. If I was away from a charger all day, I'd care a lot about battery life but I sit at a desk and I have my 20w charger that came with my 6T so I don't care about 4 hours of screen on time versus 6 for example.

People switch purely for nerdy reasons. See Q before anyone else, bragging rights between nerds, seeing the features that are coming before others, and for a lucky few Beta-2 is better than stable so why not.

That sounds like your phone's hardware is having trouble waking up from deep sleep. I'd do a backup and roll back to stable and see if it happens again. If it does, get your phone repaired/replaced by OP. If not, decided if it's too much of a bug for you to deal with if you come back to OB2 and it occurs again.

Once again, we are beta testing the OS for the next phone, the 7T. It will be released with Q and we won't benefit from Android Q until weeks later.

With the issues of background tasks being killed, Google Assistant not listening with the screen on and other bugs, I'm ready to custom-ROM this thing and be done with OOS.

    Oneplus never changes

After not being able to utilize OB1 cause my phone is T-Mobile locked I installed OB2 and I have to say I'm loving Android 10 so far. My phone seems to be faster although it might all just be in my head.

In your opinion Beta2 is perfect and stable. You and your phone only work great. All applications, Bateria, Wifi, VoLTE, GPS, Camera and all the hardware are going well. Probably everyone here is malicious, except you with your super-device. Tell us the your secret: Where did you buy the Super-OnePlus7Pro?
