I have decided never to buy oneplus again and will definitely stop atleast 10 other from buying it.
They should have atleast given a clarification about update.

Let's say you just entered a disaster area. Leave while you can and be happy with what you have.

Wow! Maybe they can get away with that kind of crap talk in China. But the last time I looked, this was the US (and much of the free world).

Man, it's sad to say this, but I am so done with OnePlus.

Apple support of their phones is in part due to they only have to support a limited number of versions of their phones. They make their own CPU, therefore can optimize the software better.

That's the problem with OP introducing Pro and Nord line phones, as they are newer, they get the majority of support. How many patches has Nord gotten, 6? 7? By the time Nord is 'fixed', they have to shift to the Pro and 8s, then 7 owners will be wanting and expecting their upgrades, which put 5s lower and lower in the priority.

An official word from OnePlus about the next update timeline and their plan for 5/5T could have totally avoided this situation.

Atleast let's hope if at all they give a final update anytime then that would be bug free.

At this point I'm just waiting to see if we will receive any further updates that will at the very least fix the bugs in 10 or just go ahead and blow OOS off my phone and install a custom rom. I'm down to choosing between AOSIP or PA. Whatever path I take this is the last OnePlus device I will purchase. Which is really tragic since up to this point my phone had been functioning perfectly and I had been completely sold on this brand. No more. OnePlus has really shot themselves in the foot with this debacle.
