That's how they have it now, I guess because of the Google gestures bar, but I don't use the Google one, I use the oneplus one and there's no need for the gap. Idk why it is there when using oneplus gestures.

Since you're posting in this thread rather than the 10.0.1 release thread, you're one of very few who hasn't experience problems. That said, did you update from 10.0.0 or 9.0.11? And do you use OOS camera, phone and text apps and do a clean flash? I ask since I'm hanging with A9 due to all the problems I see posted, though I've never had any major problems with A9 updates. I'm tempted to install the full update but my phone runs nicely on 9.0.11 especially the battery! Thanks

Here is my full experience. I updated from 9.0.11 to 10.0.0 back in June. I didn't do a clean flash since the whole idea of setting up a phone from scratch is the main reason I am not upgrading my device. I have so many apps set up here and I don't want to disturb my system.

That said, 10.0.0 was bad. Battery was horrible the first 2 weeks but it honestly gets better as it learns how you use your phone and the apps you use more frequently than others. Now I get around 5 hours SOT and my battery is 3 years old (around 75% health) which is good. It's not bad to the point where it forces me to replace the battery yet. It's manageable.

I don't have the call recording feature where I live so I didn't experience any issues I can tell you about.

Other than the battery life, the signal drop was very frustrating. The phone would drop wifi signal and not switch to LTE so the phone would look like its connected but if you try to open a YouTube video it wouldn't buffer.

This was solved in 10.0.1 i think as I haven't experienced it since I updated.

EIS still doesn't work I believe. But I don't take many videos anyways so it doesn't bother me much.

The phone now on 10.0.1 is daily driver material. I use all OOS apps and I would say based on my experience that everything is fine.

I actually got the pixel 5 for 340 USD (including tax and shipping) on black friday. That's a killer deal but I don't feel the need to upgrade so I might either sell it or gift it to a family member.

Back up your device and update. Worst case scenario you would go back to 9.0.11. I know it's a hassle but I doubt you will have to go through it.

Thanks. I'm in the US, bought the phone when it was six months old for $200 US. It's been very solid with two minor bugs of which neither impact use. I'm a very light user, have no social media or gaming apps. That said, I use a Mac desktop so rolling back might not be a possibility were there problems.

Forgot to ask if you find the new version superior to A9. From what I've read there aren't many new features. The full screen gesture doesn't interest me at all. The security patch is nice but unsure what the GSM update is about. Thanks

No major change, the notifications and share panels are cleaner. For me the security patch is the reason I updated.

I suspected as much. I've received two messages from support of which one contradicts the other about another update that corrects the problems. A fan of, if it ain't broke don't fix it, I'm going to wait a bit longer than and see.

    I updated a month ago.
I initially noticed a good jump in battery I had previously had it deteriorate and couldn't make it thru the day.
Updated it was back to making it through the day... For about a week.
Then I noticed huge differences in battery as it went down faster and faster.
It's now down from 4 hours of screen time to a maximum of 2hrs 25 minutes. My battery is estimated at 76 percent health capacity from accubattery.
    It's worse everyday.
The other bad thing is Gboard which now lags constantly as it can't keep up with typing you just wait then it fills in.
The other issues I had before update like the signal issues with cellphone reception are gone. Works flawlessly. No hunting for wifi it's connected and sharp.
Other visual differences are better and nice. There's a good look to everything.
    But battery is bad.
Funny that I had 85 percent capacity before update now app says 76 percent. Screen time is down to nothing basically 2 hours and your don't.
I didn't do a clean install I have way too much personalization to go thru all that

EIS absolutely not working on my OP5T while it used to work fine in previous builds. Why destroy something that used to work fine in the name of updates?
