I also suggest you try removing apps and checking. Most with battery drains haven't had problems with Android 9 but since you've tried, all things point to the apps or the battery itself.

If the battery is really bad and you wish to keep the phone for another year or so, I advise you to get the battery replaced.

There might still be 50% discount on battery replacement for OnePlus 5/5T and you'll get it all for about ₹1000.
If you want to save the service charge of ₹472 from the above amount, go on 17th of next month. They waive off that charge on that day.

I had an issue when I updated to 10.0.1 - my phone mic stopped working when I made or received calls. BTW, I use TMobile as a carrier for my OP5 and have never had this issue before. I did a clear cache on the recommendation of the OP customer support, but ultimately I had to do a factory reset to get it back to working. Weirdly, even after the reset it didn't resolve immediately. About an hour after I did the reset I got a call and when I answered my phone was working like normal again. Not sure exactly what happened during that hour, but if anyone else experiences troubles then I've got a datapoint that indicates it could be solved by a factory reset (remember to backup everything important first!)

This is my first post, btw, so hi all!

Phones who have low battery autonomy and you have tried everything, clean flash, delete apps, delete cache etc consider replacing your battery. Remember that if you use your phone a lot and charge it a lot of times, the battery lost efficiency and might be time to replace it. It's not expensive.

About the update, no one knows. We're past the 3 year mark now and they don't have the obligation to give us any more updates. Although they delayed forever Android 10 with a lot of bugs and they still didn't put EIS working properly in this final release. If fact, it doesn't work at all, there's no stabilization and we had that in Android 9. The least they could do is try to correct that. Maybe we have another update with November security and some bug correcting in January or February.

All I can see now are maybe one or at most two small updates to fix the bugs before they launch the OnePlus 9, i.e. around March-April 2020

Great. Security patch that's almost 2 months old.
The phones will stop receiving updates anyway, why would I care about a patch that will stay outdated anyway. Let's just hope they will further optimise the os

I think it would be better if they had released Update with 2020.12 December security patch. As it's near for EOL.

The question is let's see when will they release the update for OxygenOS in the West market region. Maybe January-February with a November security patch...
But then again, they don't have the obligation to do it because it's EOL right now. Like i said before in many posts, the damage has been done. Oneplus failed to deliver and let 5/T users down. They cannot recover their image at least for me and many others. That's why i moved on and bought a smartphone from another brand.

It is November the 1st or maybe 5th. By the time they push this globally it will be January which means 2 months old patch.
Not that a month or 2 would make any difference. An old patch is still an old patch
