Not buying a OnePlus ever again. That's what these brands do. Build a repo with the community and then dump them. Pathetic experience since last one year on Oxygen OS. Doesn't even feel like the brand wanted to fix those issues.

In fairness OnePlus Series 5 phone were released with Android 7.1.1and is now on Android 10. So it has had Android versions 7, 8, 9 & 10. Which is a lot more than you would have got with other phone companies.

The issue I would see is the way it was communicated. Should have been a standalone thread announcing this. But it was initially buried in the 10.0.1 thread.

Oh, because Series 5 phones EOL after 4 versions of Android from Android 7 to Android 10. And they have stopped now.
    Is that the reason.?

Apart from the fact that this was a known fact since over 3 and a Half years ago when the phones were introduced.

I am well aware that 6 series will EOL at the end of this year 2021, as will 7 series the next year 2022, 8 Series the year after that and so on. Its the well publicised life cycle of OnePlus phones.

Don't see what your gripe is to be honest. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I don't have the energy to let you know how the software support has been for the 5/5T in detail.
I just wish you a good day and all the best.

If you don't know what the whole rage is all about then please do not give an opinion.

Long story short, they f***** up EIS and left us with a build full of bugs (Bluetooth connectivity from my end).

you are more than welcome to read the thread.

    I don't care about Android 10 11 or 12.
I would prefer last year EOL instead of another year with full of bugs.

And yet many 5 Series phones, both models working fine, as stated by others throughout the thread. Yes some are experiencing issues.

You could revert to a previous version such as OOS 9

Or try a custom ROM as many on 3 series are doing, and many will do when 6 series EOL.

Either that or go with a different phone model. There are many options available. 👍

Well I was right, the dev just don't bother to work on it anymore. Not suprising tho, since they kinda ****** up AGAIN on 7 series "encryption issue" LOL...

btw, looks like a perfect time to leave this shitload of sugar-coating bullshit community..

I agree with some caveats the most important of which is support communications. When asked 'yes or no' questions about updates, direct answers are avoided. I've lost count how many times I've made inquiries and get apologies rather than answers. While it's 'politically correct', it does little to instill confidence. I've avoided installing either of the A10 updates for this reason.

OnePlus never give update details, have seen many ask about updates, but you won't get an answer. That seems to be a policy, always has been. The only way to find out about updates is to check precedents, and the usual pattern is every 3 to 8 weeks in the first year, then every 2 months after that.

But then again, most Phone manufacturers don't give definitive dates for an update either.

Understood..what I find troubling is getting troubleshooting replies when the question asked has nothing to do with it which could be connected with translating software; not sure. It will be curious to see if they release another build that fixes the many problems posted in this thread.

I doubt it, this paragraph in the EOL statement, 2nd post top of the thread is pretty definitive that 5 series updates are finished.

Thanks..where was this posted? I ask since replies from support have acknowledged the problems and stated they'd be fixed. Add to that the version posted on the US 5T software page is 10.0.0 rather than this one. In the event you're correct, I'll stick with 9.0.11. My phone is snappy with great battery life and lacks any of the problems reported here
