Thanks. One of the primary reasons is that unlike most who spend hours glued to their phones, I have other more important things to do. This plus the fact that there's no social media, gaming or other unusual apps installed. As a result, updates are smooth and have yet to create a problem!

Hello, I am using OnePlus 5 & voice of opposite party does not get recorded when using wireless earphone or wired earphone. However, there is no issue in call recording when earphone is not used.

    Hi all,

After several months staying on OOS 9.0.11, on Monday I finally updated to 10.0.1. I was not planning to update since I was worried about getting a buggy OS that would make me hate my OnePlus 5, but I recently bought a new car an I was having a lot of issues with Android Auto on 9.0.11, so I decided to update. I just updated from the settings menu, I did not have to use Oxygen Updater or similar.

I must say everything is working better than I expected. Battery life is similar to 9.0.11, and I am not experiencing any lag or performance issue. Google Assistant is now fixed (it has been broken in my phone for more than one year). I still need to try Android auto, but I hope it will work too. In general, would say it's a nice update.

What I don't like? Google decided to include new animations in Android 10 which makes the system feel a bit less fluid as Android 9. It is not actually slower, but the perception is that you need to wait more time during animations. The main part in which I feel this in the unlock animation. With Android 9 unlocking you phone was almost instant, but now there is a small animation that will make you see the lockscreen clock for few tenths of a second after you put your finger in the fingerprint sensor. There are several posts in the internet about this, and it seems to be happening with the OnePlus 7 too. This is a bit disgusting, and it seems there is no solution for this.

In general, if you want to enjoy Android Auto and Google Assistant and have a newer version of Android, I recommend to update. If not, you can stay in 9.0.11 and I don't think you will miss 10.0.1.

Yeah same. My problem was Google app crash. I got it updated as the service centre and they factory reseted the phone. It's actually faster now. And there were mild hiccups in UI befrore in 9. It's gone now. I can prob use this phone another year now.

To be honest , I didn't even notice the change in animation and it's associated delay that you mentioned.

The main issue for me when I updated to 10.0.0 back in May 2020 was the camera video stabilization and missing vowifi

But camera video stabilization was put back in 10.0.1 (though it's not as great as 9.1.11, it's decent). Luckily the network coverage of my service provider improved in the latter part of 2020 at my place so I'm not too reliant on Vowifi now.

No other problems for me and I feel it's very stable
