Heard about this months ago, but since my 5T is the only device and my desktop is Mac, I'm sticking with Android 10 which is working as good or better than Android 9!

I've also heard that there are quite a few apps (banking, Google Pay, etc) that don't work properly on custom ROMS like this one. Regardless, the logic "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is always a smart move.

Yeah that's true, it's working fine so no need for any adventure for now ;) some banking apps won't work on custom roms. It might get solved on Lineages os as it can pass safety net but no guarantee. For me, 5t is working good enough and I'm gonna keep my phone as is for some more time.
Regarding banking apps, for the possible security risks of oxygen os 10.0.1, we can add another physical security layer like connecting a secondary bank card which has lower amount of money ;)

Impressive! You let your battery drain to ONE PERCENT? :) Call me crazy but this looks very similar to the OOS setting. Regardless, I'm sticking with OOS since its my only phone and I don't want to risk bricking it with a ROM that won't support my banking apps etc. Enjoy Lineage !

I have no problems with my banking app and at least lineage os is faster, I have an ois, and battery life is way better. I also thought lineage will be buggy but so far I don't have problems with it.

So why you want compare battery life like that? 17mins SOT in 19h and 87% idk if it's good example to compare. Have a good life then.

Hi John, what happened to you and support e-mailing back-and-forth and support promising a release of Android 10? You were adamant that those replies were from support. Did you receive another update from them saying they'll not update the 5 series phones after all?

They weren't in touch with the dev team and transmitted inaccurate information. I updated to 10.0.1 without any problems at all. Phone has been working as good as new for months

Too bad :( I have a 5 and that really suffered (random reboots, CPU going to 100% while charging from a computer, so taking a looooong time to charge, battery draining fast after charing for a while). So I switched to something else as nothing was compelling from OnePlus.

I'll be frank in saying your problems were most likely connected to third party apps much as the majority of those who suffered problems were. Unlike most, I don't 'live' on my phone nor do I install third party contact, messaging, camera, social media, gaming or utility apps. In other words stock with a few exceptions. The 10.0.1 update went seamlessly without need for a factory reset etc. I recently interacted with someone else on this thread who had the same experience. Hope you enjoy your other device.

    Hey buddy,
Yeah As John also said, the problem maybe because of the apps you have installed on your phone. You can try this tips this time amd upgrade to 10 and review the results, 1. Remove apps as much as you can (later after upgrading you can install them again) 2. Remove app residual files or caches using a cleaning app like clean master (I did this too) 3. Wipe cache partition by turning off your phone and boot it up to recovery mode by pressing volume up and power button at the same time, ans wipe/wipe cache partition. Finally reboot to android as normal. 4. Connect a VPN and choose the US region (in case of different roms for different regions) and then normally upgrade your phone using system updater. 5. After upgrading go to settings/ apps and clear caches of all the apps installed. In this case you camera calculator and other stock apps will work properly again.
    Before starting, BACKUP YOUR PHONE.
    Wish you good luck. ;)

Unlike most owners I'm an extremely light user since I have better things to do than live on a phone. It's used for phone calls, email and occasional browsing. There are NO social media, gaming or other unnecessary apps installed

Ah... Being a student with lots of online classes and a light and casual gamer, this would unfortunately never be possible...
