I guess everything is fine but with the slow charging as well the battery drain OnePlus doesn't want us to use the phone properly. I have finally downgraded to Android 9.0.11 and believe me its one of the most stable version for OnePlus 5.

Have you used these steps to downgrade?

I have done the following and the EIS is already working for me. I have entered the camera application and I have cleared both the data and the cache. I have rebooted the phone I have repeated this process about 4-5 times Finally I have done the wipe cache process After the subsequent restart I have tried to record again and everything works correctly. The battery life has also been improved

I don't know why you guys have all of thoose problems, i was skeptical too.
Updated from 10, Rooted with magisk 20.4.
Booted in Recovery, Dirty flashed 10.0.1 full image, flashed Magisk, Cache wipes, Rebooted.
Working good, didn't tested the EIS yet, but no bugs, UI seems smooth, battery life seems the same maybe better idle.

    All,
I have been watching this thread for a few days. It's hard to know if there are genuine problems with the release or rather the apps people have installed causing the problems. I'm still on 9 and have the 10.0.1 update downloaded but am holding off on upgrading. I do want the security updates but can't afford for my daily driver to be non operational. It's a dilemma. Also difficult to know if 10.0.1 is the last release for these end of life devices or if OP will release a 10.0.2.

There will be another. When it's a last update, there will be no one happier than the ones who create that post. They will type it in bold that it's the last one

Wiping the cache partition seems to significantly help for the battery drain issues. May solve also other problems some people have.

Hi guys, sorry for asking. Is it safe to upgrade? Or there are bugs that isnt comfortable to use the phone in a daily use. Thanks!

If you are in Oxygen 9, be happy. Don't upgrade to feel the pain in the ***.
Battery drain is the biggest issue.

It won't erase data, if you select correct option.

    Hi,

After updating, i am facing the following issues:

    - phone hangs alot.
    - battery drains fast.
    - apps getting stuck and stop working.
    - can not hear the other caller when receiving a phone call.
    - camera do not start sometimes.

restarting the the phone solves the issue temporarily sometimes and sometimes not.

I hope that you can solve this issue.

    thanks.

I was afraid, in the begging, of doing the download and install of this new OOS version because of all negative opinions that populates this thread.
I did it at last, yesterday to be precise, and so far is running smoothly even more than the previous one. No issues at all, the battery is fine, it has the same duration as with the previous version and it did not make yet the 3 circle, that it is almost mandatory to test if with the new version is more or less efficient.
That said, I would like to advise all users that are having troubles with this one to check what kind of apps you have installed on your devices that would contribute to drain your batteries.
Godspeed to all of you users of this great peace of technology, the company is still delivering what they promised. You need a better phone? So go buy a recent one.

Its not like every user is facing issues. I have a OP5 user at home and that device is working seamlessly. I am a 5T user and I didn't face any issue for around 4 months after A10 update. Its an user to user experience, some may face these issues a little late while some may have it immediately after the update. Lucky are the ones who haven't faced any as of yet.
