Phone actually did slow down after the update... Gave it a couple of days after the update to get it used to the new update. But now loading large chrome pages has become a pain in the a. Loading large applications used to be a piece of cake in 10.0.0 but in 10.0.1, it's really frustrating. Wallpaper automatically changes upon heavy usage. So not sure, but is OnePlus really playing the Apple trick of slowing phone deliberately so that we buy a new OnePlus device?

Yes, that's the only issue I'm facing as well, they give security updates for the current 2 months after. This are some of the issues we have currently. I don't know if it's too much work or, yeah. But what can we do.

Still wondering if I should gamble and update to 10.0.1 from android 9...problem is I can't stay with 9 for long too. If only oneplus gave bug free updates...

Clear the App info Cache and App info Storage for apps not opening, it will reset the apps, so you may have to login again to some that then restart the phone. See if that helps.

You could also try resetting app permissions

Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > see all apps > select three dots > Reset app preferences.
    Then reboot.

This will not delete your apps data but you will have to provide permissions for all your Apps again.

I found a serious problem with my OnePlus 5t. After the latest update, everytime I call someone both the dial tones and the sound of people talking all become static (like two plastic sheets running against each other). It is only after the third or fourth time I redial that it becomes normal again. I need help please.

    Reset your Mobile Network adapter

Settings, System, Reset Options, Reset WiFi Mobile Bluetooth.

This will reset all your Adapters.

    And see if that helps.

I've been using OnePlus 5 since the launch day, and my dad bought one few months after me so we both have OnePlus 5/128GB.

After upgrade to Android 10 his car bluetooth basically stopped working. It will connect, then disconnect, pause, connect, disconnect, etc... basically completely unusable. I remember there was similar issue back with upgrade to Android 9 but it got eventually resolved with update. It's back again.

I experience different bugs. After upgrade it looks like sharing files between applications is broken. If I attempt to share a photo from app Piktures to OneDrive or Discord, the receiving app doesn't get the file, as if I have just opened the app on its own, not via sharing option.

Also touchscreen is all flicky as well. Sometimes if I press back button, it opens my notifications area (wtf), or sometimes touchscreen stops working at all. It all started the day of update to Android 10, never I had this sort of issues on Android 9.

I guess OnePlus 5 finally reached its age where custom rom is compulsory to continue using it.

EIS is still not working after updating to 10.0.1 unfortunately. At this rate I'll have to do a rollback to Android 9 to get EIS back. Disappointing that OnePlus couldn't get it sorted

Settings, System, Reset Options, Reset WiFi Mobile Bluetooth.

Also reset the Bluetooth in the car. Refer to the car manual on how to do this. Then pair them back up again.

Its also possible you could get a software update for Bluetooth in the car, from the Car dealership for your model.

PLEASE give me one reason to update from 9.0.11 to 10.0.1 ???

i think Oneplus on purpose slow down older devices , like Apple.

    DOWNGRADE TO 9.0.11

    Its so easy.
