Why, I see many posts further up the thread with people stating their phone functions fine. With the millions of 5 series phones out there it's merely a minor fraction that figure in here with issues.

    1. download 9.0.11 from a reliable source
    2. transfer it in your phone's root folder
    3. open system update on your phone
    4. tap on that gear icon corner right
    5. select local upgrade
    6. select that file you downloaded it
    7. have fun :|

=> also you can clear every thing from recovery

I have tried these steps. It throws up a warning saying that this may result in boot failure.

You are a real optimistic guy. Most of the users on the thread are reporting issues. Only a few of them saying they don't have any problems. And still you say 'a minor fraction'.

You are using Beta Version and it has been stopped permanently for 5/5T series. Only stable Updates are available for 5/5T series.

In some ways he has a point; in others not so much. OnePlus sold well over 2MM 5/5T phones so the thousand that are experiencing problems are in the minority. That said, I've been emailing with support and in a message today regarding problems with 10.0.1, this is what they said:
We would like to inform you that our team is working with all issue reported and shall fix them soon in next updates.

I've yet to install any of the A10 updates since my phone runs nicely on A9. However I DO want to update for security reasons. IF OP releases 10.0.2 in the next week or two, I'll give it a run.

They must have sold millions of devices for sure. But how many of them are still using this device, out of them how many are actually active on the community app. How many are actually reporting issues. Out of all these, the ones who are writing are actually 'minority'.

To put it into perspective of the MILLIONS of 5 series phones sold, yes its a minor fraction.

In that perspective, yes it is absolutely a minor fraction. But day by day the number of posts on the thread. Users like you and me are pretty active so we can actually get a sense of how unstable is the update. Honestly I was expecting to use this for another year but with the issues that I am facing its getting all the more difficult to stick with it.

BOGUS update. Not at all the mentioned issues have been solved. My call recording feature disappeared after last update. This update first point Mentioning solved call recording issue. I updated my phone with that hope of getting the lost feature back. But boom...the feature is still not available even after the update. 1 plus team won't even respond now. They don't serve what they say.

There's no way of knowing how many are still active obviously. The fact OP admits there are problems with the update is telling. My 5T running 9.0.11 performs nearly as well as it did when new, including the battery life :)

That's the plan as of now. I would add that it appears the majority of those having problems are international users which I find curious.

I do understand that people do have issues, however most with same exact same hardware find it works OK for them. There has been a few suggestions given by others further up the post on what they did to ensure their Android 10.0.1 works good for them. Post #1812 by @babribeiro further up this thread, has a step by step process that worked for that person's phone. Might be worth checking into.

See post above this one, or post #1812, these are steps by @babribeiro that may help you.

If their steps don't work, you may have to backup the phone and do a Full Erase All Data factory reset.

Did you install this update, clear the system cache or try some of the procedures stated in previous posts? I charged my battery this morning and 8 hours later its at 94%. But I have not updated to Android 10
