No, updated through oxygen updater and did it even when charging, so worst case scenario. ;)

A clean install will help. Back up your data and format. You will still have Android 10.

Ah, my apologies. I only read half the conversation and thought you were having issues. Glad you're experiencing no problems with the update. :)

I'm yet to jump on the update as I'm not in a very big hurry. I'm fine using 9.0 till I'm prompted to update.

I've had zero issues too! I had the reboots with 10.0 so rolled back, now 10.1 works as well as 10.0 did but without the reboots.
Oxygen updater both time, just wiped cache after install.
    Better battery, better display, camera.
    No issues at all

u have a good point but other models of one plus are having an update after Android 9 officially and we want it in our phones, not the latest ones but atleast the one before the latest one

According to this thread there are more probabilities to win the lottery not to have a bugless OnePlus 6/6T OOS 10 :D so consider yourself a lucky guy :D

my experience so far after the update.

the finger print unlocked is a tiny bit slower but i like the new unlock animation.
plus its much more reliable now.
    working 9-10 times

the ambiant display is much more brighter now. i like that

camera is tiny bit slower in taking pictures some times.

    smooth, no lag so far.
only sometimes when switching apps in multitasking view

battery timing seems to be little better so far

new dark theme is so beautiful

new gestures are so cool, will take some time to adjust

many small animations got better like volume, new notification.

i think its pretty much stable so far.

and yes i did full factory reset after update.

By the way, I am getting like 358k points on antutu compared to 293k on pie. Is this score fake, or does android q actually improve the performance?

One of them is built into A10, the other is the Indian version. The built-in GPay will not work in that area so you can easily disable it and forget it exists. PLEASE search next time.

Because there is no exact date. At the time this thread was created, the rollout started and can take up to 2 weeks for everyone to get it but if you're that impatient you can always manually install the update and bypass the OTA process.
