Perfectly safe, no issues so far. Just make sure you have a decent WiFi connection.

This should be the most staged roll out ever. Stop defending oneplus by saying it's a staged roll out how much more time they require to push it to everyone. They are just building frustration in their customers mind. And please stop saying be patient. We bought oneplus phones because we all are mobile phone enthusiasts and we are crazy for new updates and we want it asap.

If you're that unhappy with the way they roll out their updates, then buy another brand.

There are other ways to get the update if you're that impatient.

You also only speak for yourself and no one else, so stop saying we.

Who are you to tell me that I should buy some other brand. I have spent my money to buy 6t, so I have every right to question Oneplus.
I will buy another brand phone next time so you don't worry abt it.

I have paid money so why should I try other ways to update my phone its the duty of oneplus. I used WE coz I am talking on the behalf of ppl who are upset abt this badly managed software rollouts. So you go and mind your own business dashhole 😂.

I've noticed after the update that the Incognito GBoard wastes less space at the bottom than the non-Incognito GBoard (e.g. when you're in Incognito mode in a browser) - I know everyone is saying this is a GBoard issue, but thought it was worth mentioning

See the posts 2 to 3 up from yours, user just received OTA it's a random Staged rollout. This is normal for all of OnePlus updates. Sometimes they might be regional, sometimes random worldwide. It can take up to 3 weeks from date of initial rollout. This is to check and ensure there are no major issues with the OS. OTA will be available to you according to the random algorithm used for selection.

So it's not badly managed it's by design.

If you wish to bypass the wait on that Staged rollout, use oxygen Updater. Have been using it since I got the 6T, for all of the updates pie through to current for the last year. Works fine.
