I have a SIM-only contract in an unlocked phone - are you going to suggest Oxygen Updater?

Nope, as 10.3.0 exists as a standalone download now on the site that you can use to manually flash.

Due to the limitation of private messages I am replying to you here.

Just in case there is an App hogging resources, causing Heat issues, causing lag, Battery drain or freezing, clear your recent apps, also try setting 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

Go through 3 to 4 charge cycles, leave on charge beyond full capacity for a couple of hours. Preferably overnight.

After a few days, Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more resources than necessary.

If its still not improving, backup your phone, full factory reset, Delete All Data, as in wipe your phone completely, and repeat the steps above.

still worried how custom ROM developers manage to develop A10(bug free) to many devices than OEM did , including 5 yrs old devices Custom ROM support.

That's the thing, Custom ROMs are not Bug free, check their forums for each ROM , many bugs can be found. They work very well, usually after the 2nd or 3rd build of a particular ROM version. But they also post known issues which are still bugs.

You will never reach that utopia of bug free software, it's an impossibility, and each person personalised their phone to suit themselves with 3rd party software, which also can create their own issues, some unidentifiable, due to the volume of apps installed.

It's nearly impossible to tell if a particular app is causing a conflict with the system, or maybe another app.

So Apps have bugs, ROMs have bugs, interaction between both may or may not exacerbate the issue. Then there are rogue apps with malware causing their own issues.

It will always be a never ending circle, and you, me and the whole world basically spend our lives Beta testing all software, where the logs are auto sent back to the developers for the next round of updates.
