IDK. I'm too old and a lil too blind to use that $h1t... :p

I did just turned it on in Quick Settings and it automatically slid waaaaaay the hell down in the dark....if that helps any.

If you haven't used it much I guess it does not really know how to adjust either. I don't now how fast it learns though.
7 Pro behaves way better than the first adaptive brightness phone I had. Despite this one having an under the screen sensor. Very few situations were I feel the screen is set to wrong level. (beta 5. There was one beta that often went too dark in very low surrounding lights... Other than that I've been pretty happy)

Can anyone please confirm - if I flash full stable over beta, as long as that stable is a newer dated rom then I won't lose any data?

As I stated before, I lost data once out of 5 times that I upgraded via local update with 10.0.1. ALWAYS have an off-device backup in case things go sideways for you too. It shouldn't but it might and you don't want to take any unnecessary risks.

It's VERY early and the kernel hasn't settled in, but it looks as though battery drain is just as quick on stock 10.0.2 kernel as it does with 10.0.1 kernel. I'm literally just playing music. I can't wait until my custom kernel is updated to 10.0.2 base.....

Expect a wipe. Sometimes it does not wipe though. So if you have some stuff you don't want to loose back it up.
Got it verified by a other users. It wiped in that case.

I used Oxygen Updater to flash full stable 10.0.2 over OB5 and it wiped my data, Wasn't a big deal, I was going to do that any way.

Just updated to 10.0.2. The notch setting is still missing! Hopefully Bluetooth calling has been fixed... If not, this phone's going back for a refund

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've also been told that if you flash in TWRP rather than the in-built updater, then it shouldn't wipe data. But of course I've got a backup just in case :)

Updating with a data wipe isn't a bad thing, especially since you already have your backup ready to restore your apps and settings.

Your download is probably corrupt. Delete it and try again.

This is true, but most people on this thread have a locked bootloader/no TWRP. I stopped upgrading locally as soon as I got my bootloader unlocked thru TMo.

But if he's going to just restore the same data via TWRP, what's the difference than without a wipe? Effectively nothing.
