It looks like you have misunderstood my point. I know very well that there is no software without bugs, of course I also know that there is a lot of quality software out there which doesn't have "obvious" bugs!

First of all, OnePlus is well known for delivering products with ultra quality hardware and software.

My short experience with OnePlus 8 Pro proved me the opposite!

    OnePlus 8 Pro - OxygenOS10:
    - 5g functionality was not supported when having dual sims
    - Consistent WiFi connecitivity issues

    OnePlus 8 Pro - OxygenOS11:
    - split screen feature was completely broken after the initial stable update and it was fixed recently after couple of stable updates
    - screen tint issues because of the global GREY "dark" theme still there
    - ultra wide camera - steady mode captures 4k video in very low quality
    - camera glare effect when switching between wide and ultra wide lenses whilst recording 4k video

Moreover, there is a feature in settings called "Full screen per application" which doesn't support any application at all. That said, if the application developer supports OnePlus 8 Pro specific camera hole then the application works in full screen mode (i.e. Youtube), but if the developer doesn't support it yet (i.e. Amazon Prime Video, NowTV, Minions, etc) then... bad luck! You get a black bar in the extend of the camera hole and not full screen. Even Xiaomi Mi10 Lite 5G, which costs 199 pounds, it offers the option to stretch any application to full screen mode no matter if it is supported by the app developer or not.

Last but not least, if you don't wipe cache after the update then you might face apps sudden crash. I never had to do something similar with Sony Xperia XZ3 in the past which was getting monthly or bi-monthly stable updates even 15 months after it's release and it didn't have any "obvious" bug.

To summarise, for all the reasons above I have switched back to OnePlus 7T Pro and OxygenOS10 which works great for me. I have spent a lot of personal time debugging and creating bug reports for the OnePlus bug catchers for free, I could read a book or develop a home project instead. I hope they take their time and resolve most of the "obvious" issues before they release the first OxygenOS11 stable version for OnePlus 7T Pro even if it takes more than what they have promised to us.

    Cheers!

Yes getting good SOT of 5½-6 hours. If we play a game for 30-45 mins SOT gets reduced to 5 hours but still impressive with battery performance
