so then why did my phone update to 10.0.3 when I'm non eu? this is so confusing to me..

This is the famous OnePlus strategy. To confuse all costumers....

Because International 10.0.3 is not 10.0.3 EU. 10.0.3 International was the update before 10.3.0 International.

Keep in mind that Huawei and other big brands are on Pie right now and you are complaining for a simple update. just wait. that's all you can do.

my next phone will be definitely a Huawei. The problem is that we don't understand why they are announcing and bragging with the updates. Just shut up and we update when it comes.

I searched for the very first report of updated EU device... It was the 16th. Add the usual 2 weeks for the start of global rollout and you see that it's pretty normal...
They did a mistake with the 10.0.3 release post if you ask me. It was only a post for 10.0.3 International really. They should have made a new post for 10.3.0 International and 10.0.3 EU instead of this confusing thing. Because now people see the post date and count from that date and not the actual dates of 10.3.0 International and 10.0.3 EU

actually no.. I'm not complaining for a small update, that of which you should've really thought about before commenting. I asked several viable questions one of which I had no idea that there is a two week roll out. the update was also lackluster in publishing as I didn't realize there was an update to 10.0.3 and now as of recently a 10.3.0 update. thank you for the non informative info though as it really wasn't needed here..

I recently bought OnePlus 7pro and upgraded to 10.0.3. Some of my email images are X-ray images not real colors. Please help fixing this. I am not sure if it was part of the original software version or not since it has only been 2 weeks since I got this phone. Does it have to do with the dark mode?
    see attached.

Did you turn on "override dark mode" in settings? If you did it can make many things look unusual.

edit..sorry it is called "override forced dark" and it is in settings>developer options

    Battery Update: Awesome!

in my initial days of phone usage my OnePlus 7 it gave 7-8 hours of SOT on single charge; however as software updates were received it got degraded to 4-5 hours SOT maximum.

I cleared cache on every update (pre and post). On 10.3.0, to surprise it gave me 8-9 hours of SOT.

Note: I have enabled auto switch off-on phone daily at night for 5 hours. Also once a month I calibrate battery by fully discharging it to 0% and then charging it to 100% in off state only, keep the phone on charge for 30 mins even when it's charged to 100%. I have read this calibration method on some forum, correct me if I am wrong. But don't over do this, as it may damage the battery!

    Ram boost is off
Most of the applications are on optimized state.

If you're referring to the 7T series having December patch, you're absolutely wrong. Even the brand new TMo OP7TP McLaren 5G has the November security patch with its launch day patch. I know because I have it. Please stop saying, "Poor, sad 7 series. All OP does is care about its shiny new 7T series." It's getting old.

Nope. No lock. I fixed it by clearing the cache of Location Services at Settings > Apps, followed by a reboot. It's weird that the cache of system apps isn't automatically cleared after installing an OTA. I bet this is probably responsible for a lot of other people's problems too, especially going from OOS 9 to 10. Clearing the cache in TWRP isn't enough either. I tried that first.
