I don't have these issues... fingerprint works well with all my banks apps, no problems with WiFi or Bluetooth or with the connection with my car radio via Bluetooth

Does Google backup my app? I don't want to redownload all my apps again.

First time a lower OnePlus device getting higher version number update earlier than the current flagships. :D
Although nothing exciting in the update, if you leave aside the version number ;)

So yesterday, I got really frustrated at my 7 pro on 10.3.0 and decided to dust off the old Note 9 and give Android 10 a try on it.

Just like the upgrade for OnePlus, not much has changed and some of the problems I thought were OnePlus specific persist on the Samsung. The fact that 2-3 applications can't update themselves until later or after a reboot (chrome will usually fail the first update, android webview also doesn't work) but that's the same (for me) on both the 7 pro and the note 9.

One thing that absolutely made me lose my mind yesterday evening is that the moment I feel that my OnePlus is finally running OK on 10.3.0, this happens. I call 811 which is medical assistance because my daughter is sick and I need help. I spend 40 minutes on hold (on speaker phone) waiting for a nurse to be available. It finally connects me, I disable speaker phone and start talking with the phone to my ear. For whatever reason, the proximity sensor decides that it won't notice that I'm holding the phone, it keeps the screen active and I somehow manage to hang up the call with my cheek. I threw my phone across the room (into a pile of laundry so nothing broke) but it made my blood boil. I'm trying to make a simple phone call and the darn phone can't even disable the screen because the proximity sensor didn't work.

So on top of constantly fighting with auto-brightness (because those sensors don't work well through a screen), now proximity sensor has problems too (and I also read that they don't work well through screens either).

So when we say that not every problem with OnePlus right now is because of OnePlus, it's true, android 10 has problems on other platforms. But I think there is a problem right now with having those sensors work through screen and I believe it's why the 7T and 8 are going back to either a teardrop or cutout. I think the proximity sensor and light sensors work far more reliably when they aren't hidden through a screen.

So that being said, I would much rather have a thin bezel at the top and sensors that work well than edge to edge screen with basic functionality that's broken.
