It's a third party app which streams the updates directly from OnePlus server. Not an official OnePlus app.

Yes, exactly. We don't modify update files at all, everything comes directly from OnePlus OTA servers. People in this thread really like to play the blame game.

People are receiving this update via OTA as can be seen in screenshots, we were confused about it, so we downloaded the update and verified it on our own devices. Our daily driver devices. It is an official update that is rolling out, except OnePlus hasn't made a forum post yet. This happens sometimes - posts go up after the rollout begins.

Maybe it's going to be a big post, because this is a big update - India-specific features are now being pushed to all regions, international and India (EU rollout hasn't begun yet though). So maybe that's why the forum post is delayed.

They launched these features exclusive to India in the 7T-series. This was the first time India was considered as a separate region. Earlier it was only international and EU. However, since these India-specific features could easily be beneficial to everyone, regardless of location, people speculated if these features would ever become global. Today's the day, people. Rejoice, instead of worrying about it.

Duh, your phone literally just installed a ZIP of a few 100MB which needs CPU power. Wait for a few days more. Or else: clear cache in recovery.
