I wouldn't worry to much, for some all goes well and some have minor to annoying bugs or glitches. the criticism is mostly how they deal with updates and patches.
so I would take the plunge and update. crossed fingers.

i have 10.3.1 in Europe, global version, and it works great. there are alot of complaints in this app, but my experience with two 6's in family and my 7 is great. really no problems at all

question whichs is newer beta 9 or the new 10..0.4, i downloaded the 10.04 and has done it regularly through oygen updatre and then went to local install and doesn show up in the download. i even tried to copy it to my internal folder even though out of the million times i dine this xygen updater automatically downloaded it to the internal folder and just go into system update and choose Local Upgrade and choose the latest update but the 10.4 wont show up. im thinking beta 9 is newer then 10.0.4 ? why wouldnt it show up, any ideas on how to force it. i been doing this more many years. i know how to downoad and root and unlock bootloaders have a new phone every 5 months and always rooted. and tired of updating local updates and beta updates on my phone.. why can i find it even if i copy the zip to the local upgrade file and also in the insternal folder just i ncase. and doesnt show up in updates

Not true. They are two totally different animals. One is Beta and the other Stable. Its all about taking risk. I was on Beta 9 and went to the new stable. I put Oxygen Updater on Full Update and it downloaded. Follow the directions and remember to do a back up. It wipes your data....some work to do, but so far this has been the best one. Only been a day...so I take it with a grain of salt. It solved one power up/restart issue I've had. No overheating or anything. All these issues people have. I've never had ANY battery issues.....and I know it's not all but some have done some things they can't recover from because they didn't do "something" correctly. Most crap I've done to my phone has ALWAYS been my own stupidity. I'm always learning.

Exactly... I chose OP primarily because of OOS. Sure the hardware is great and comparatively cheaper, but for me, it's the software that makes a difference. You don't get to interact with the shiny glass back or camera modules everyday... You want stable software that is bug free, provides lasting battery performance, processes images nicely etc. OOS since Android 10 has completely failed at that.

I feel like I am just complaining without bringing anything useful to the table but that's what it has come down to for me at this point. Sigh.
