Does Play update make any significant difference though? I'm not very bothered about that...

Not more than the rest really. An critical remote code execution this time. CVE-2020-0032.
Anyway. I just find it strange that an update does not include it and the end result makes that component come later than without that separate update function [e]1f609[/e]

I don't know if this update fixed any bugs but I found few new bugs :

    1. Colour Inversion of pics in Gallery, Instagram and few more apps.
    2. While calling or receiving a call, all the icons usually present on the call screen are all gone.
    3. When gallery is opened in the 'Photos' section, there's a strange broad white bar on the top, which remains on top even while scrolling.
    4. There's also a strange flickering on the screen while opening the settings app.
    5. I don't use Google Play Music at all, but still one or two times in an hour, I get a notification "downloading google play music"

Also, phone tends to heat more than it did before and battery drain is I guess on the medium level.

On a serious note! Oxygen OS 9.5.8 was the smoothest and totally bug free iteration!
OP Team, I request you to please release a genuinely stable version.

You can always use Oxygen Updater if you are in a hurry. Currently the fastest way if you want to skip ahead and avoid the wait. The screenshot I show the International version.

Some of the bugs sounds like a issue with forced dark mode

I simply disabled Google music. I use Tidal for streaming music. And Poweramp for local music (replaced Google music as standard app).
This issue has happened for some time since a few updates ago for some. Why is the question. Probably a Google issue rather than Oneplus. Maybe it happened before but simply never showed.

Oh.. Maybe yes.. 🤔 Colour Inversion and call screen icons disappearance might be because of Overridden Forced Dark Mode only.
I did switched it on yesterday.🤔

Hopefully the upcoming forced dark mode will be more useful. Per app basis. So you can still force specific apps. But avoid those that does not look well with it.

But why we need to pull up the UI 2mm up the screen you can see how the iOS and OneUI have implemented that bottom bar adapted over the app. I am not complaining about that dead space below the keyboard, i am telling about the dead space i every other app while using the bottom bar. So understand my complain first and then after give me suggestions
