OxygenOS 10.0.6 for the OnePlus 7T

I've just received the update (UK), thanks OnePlus.

I didn't feel I was suffering from the bugs mentioned by other users and it's too early to notice any performance improvements (eg battery) so I don't have a view on the general update. However, I am very happy to have received the security updates for October.

Do the security patches usually get pushed with the general updates (like this one), or are they pushed independently for the most part? There are sound reasons for Google releasing the security patches monthly...

You should be greatfull of frequent updates. Im from iOS and they are the same. From time to time small updates are coming. OS isn't perfect if that's what you think. See windows 10 for example.
If you do not want frequent updates, use Samsung phones instead. Nothing beats how slow they are on their phone updates. Good luck with their slow and buggy OS.

Yes I agree with you, but pushing updates means that they are working to fix these bugs, for instance. the last update fixed the stand by battery consumption for me which was really annoying.

That's the only reason I haven't returned the phone is because they do fix them quickly. I'll give them that.

Dude the Samsung had a bug with the fingerprint letting almost anyone to unlock the phone lol.
at least with one plus there are no critical bugs to fix like that one and also in my case the 7T been working flawlessly and I don't have any problem you mention.
so don't blame on OnePlus for everything.

And in my case updates makes me get excited rather than worried like you are.
