Your media files won't get deleted if you don't choose to wipe internal storage, but contacts and messages will get deleted

For the gallery => install Google Photos, all your pictures in the internal storage will be stored in the cloud
Contacts => if you synchronise your contacts list with your gmail account, you have to worry about the factory reset
Messages => yes you'll lose them

with all respects to everyone, what would be better is that everyone put what model of 7T they have when posting

As it looks like some are having no battery issues and others are, some are having screen issues,

so knowing what model it is whether International, India or EU etc, that would give some indication whether the OS may have something to do with some of the issues

Another option is to use the OnePlus switch app. Transfer that to your PC, then when you factory reset, there's a folder on the phone the backup will go in & everything you've selected will be restored. You'll have about 9 different things you can choose from. Contacts, messages, etc etc.

Oneplus doesn't have external storage, so when u factory reset, data is lost expect for contacts if the contacts are stored in Google!

You do realize not only is this a staged rollout, but any phone through a carrier will receive much slower updates, because of the verification checks and validation. In all honestly you'll receive slower updates and possibly skipped updates, but that just means you might have less a chance of getting an update that breaks something.

Also, you have no right to complain period. If you wanted quick updates, why did you buy it from T-Mo? If it's because of financing or a deal, then that's all on you and the price you pay for no going unlocked ;)

Calm downl. I'm on T-Mobile because it's my choice kid. I'm also a Navy Veteran and I get a deal for my family from T-Mobile. And none of your damn business how I buy my phone's. fool.

You still went with T-Mo. The carriers WILL slow down updates. You can complain, but it won't speed things up.

Also why are you taking this personally? I brought nothing up to warrant such. Your addition of being in the military to try and back up your defense makes no sense either. That has nothing to do with the fact that carrier updates will be slow and the price for a deal through a carrier will always be slower updates period unless you have an Apple iPhone or a Google Pixel.

Are you making a statement or asking a question?

Yes, it's stable. Obviously there are still bugs that persist overall, but it's not a beta update. It's an incremental OS update.

Usually anything beta you have to sign up for.
