The update seems to be okay...... When you guys will wake up to provide us dark mode toggle in quick settings or proper reschedule option? So many people have already given you guys feedback on that........

Everything works just fine. I even have a feeling that the smartphone works faster. Animations seem to be smoother. Don't worry about the battery life. Usually after update the smartphone needs some time to adjust the processes and it will be back to normal.

I respect OnePlus but they focus more on the newly launched devices and forget about the old ones (not completely but somewhat). And please spend more time on improving the displays of your devices rather than advertising it so much.

I have live transations on my OnePlus 7 Pro. It's a Google feature, so maybe it's dependend on your region.
And what's meant by dark mode 2.0? There is no new Dark Mode in OxygenOS yet (not even in 8 series).

Does anybody else notice the blank space below the keyboard now is taking even more space? It is annoying and ugly. Idk why it is even there, it is not solving any purpose.

I love it so much that OnePlus does not provide a solution to get the OTA immediately after releasing it.
Why not providing the OTA to all people that want to go with the risk as early bird.
No it's random if you get it after release or you have to wait 5 to 10 days for that staged rollout....
Perpahps here the most of the people want it soon and have to wait days. We are the best testers....

You can only install incremental updates (small packages) if you Update individually to each version. If you skip an update, you need to install a FULL Update (big package) that contains everything (also the previous versions).
Because the small ~300mb packages only contains the changes of the current release. If you would skip a release, you also would skip these changes. This could break your OS or leads to skipped security patches (this means you have installed the july patch, but the june fixes aren't included for example).

you already have this update with even more features (Open Beta 16).
This stable release is just a Open Beta 16 light.
Beta users will get August patch in the next week.

Yes, the problem is OnePlus Updates are rolled out in stages. My phones usually need a 3 weeks waiting time before the update is available. They do this to protect people from maybe undetected bugs that could appear. 20% of users in Germany get the first wave, and if their phones report many crashes, they would stop the rollout.

Also Indian and CN users need to wait some weeks before getting the update finally.

I also think waiting multiple weeks is too long for security updates.
This is why you can use and should use Oxygen Updater.

OxygenOS team should add a toggle to switch to a new update channel.
Stable update channel -> staged rollout of finished version (default).
early acces update channel -> instant access to finished version (without stages rollout).
    public beta channel -> beta
private bet achannel -> alpha of beta
