If you really cant live without this update, update trought oxygen updater. Old or new patch security there is not difference. Exepct if you are installing risking apps which maybe have virus.

You shouldn't have to settle for using a third party application to side load your OS just to keep it current with the latest OS patches in an attempt to be more secure....
The fact that I'm not willing to do that should infer I don't install lots of "risky" apps.

Could the same thing happen to OnePlus that happened to Tiktok?

One could argue that OnePlus products are 1000% more risky than Tiktok in terms of data aggregation on US citizens and national security....

Yepp. Also on 8 series messages broke with 11 upgrade and needed a data wipe of the app.
Unless I'm mistaken the 7 series issue was Indian specific

I use Oxygen Updater and luckily have not had any issues with latest update for 7 pro. I do agree that OP and all mfgs should be more transparent with update status, if it is pulled for a bug why not just state it publicly, it's not like users would criticize more for getting this news. Also the OTA has been problematic for months with many like me relying on oxygen updater for timely updates.

No update here (UK) for my OnePlus 7... Still stuck on 1 July 2020 security patch level... Not happy... (My wife is even less happier, her OnePlus 5T haven't received a patch for eight months, hers is stuck on 1 Feb 2020 patch level, despite OnePlus promising 3 years of updates...)

Pls stop giving advice to use oxygen updater
I already told u its not Akbar's time , its digital world where data is transmitted over air(OTA)
It only take seconds to recieve

The only thing is OnePlus don't care about old costumer.......if they cared than till now all costumers would have got update

IF there are no serious issues than y they are delaying updates!!!!! And if they found issues than atleast that should inform costumers that "update will be delayed for some time"

A friendly question, Sorry to bother you, the number 1 also does not appear in red, nor on the home screen and also on the ambient screen, as I could solve it, thank you for your attention.
