Hi,
I am using Oneplus 7 6gb.
Due to multiple instances of chrome browser crashing, I went to the OnePlus service center. They downgraded the android version to Oxygen OS9.5.7.GM57AA saying many phones are having this issue.
I had received and installed all the OTA updates to Android 10 till then.
After downgrading, I was not receiving OTA updates.
I tried to download the latest stable update from OnePlus site -- 10.3.4.GM57AA.
But it showed update failed --" This version has no changelog".
This was a few months back.
I sent mails to the Oneplus customer care but did not receive any reply.
So,
I had to visit the service center again as the problem was not solved, and I did not receive any OTA updates even after the latest stable version I mentioned in the earlier mail, was released in Oneplus website.
But the service center ( Oneplus service center Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala) installed the latest EU version 10.0.7.GM57BA on my phone, instead of Indian version 10.3.4.GM57AA.
I noticed it only after returning home.
OnePlus, Please do not take your customers for granted.
I have more important things to do than keep visiting the service center.( I had already visited them twice for this software issue)
The service center staff should be taught the difference between EU and India.
Now I might not receive any further updates thanks to living in India with the EU version running on my phone.
After around three months Oneplus has sent a reply to my mail, asking me to post the issue in Oneplus community!
I do not understand then, as to why a customer care email id exist.
Is there any way to change my 'EU version OS' to the latest Indian version, other than visiting the service center again?
Thanks.
