This is seriously getting worse for OnePlus with updates, for the first time I'm experiencing this with a OnePlus device, hopefully this ain't a scary trend right after Carl's exit.

    Hi,

I do not mean that. I don't use the Launcher either because I think it is not very customizable. In my case I use Lawnchair v2, very similar to Pixel Launcher but with more customization options. Although they have not updated it for a long time so I am considering changing to another Launcher. It's sad, because I like it a lot.

When I talk about "recent apps" I mean multitasking view, this view:

That "view" is linked to the Launcher, in this case the OnePlus Launcher. Unless you are a root user, you cannot change it, therefore, in your case, you are using Nova but the "recent apps" view belongs to the OnePlus Launcher. That's one of the reasons you don't see the animation/transition "from window to icon" when going home. With the new version of OnePlus Launcher, that view looks like this:

You can use whatever you want, but because you are still using OnePlus Launcher (the recents apps view), maybe you were interested to update it in order to have that new fresh version while still using Nova.

In my case, as I said, I'm using Lawnchair v2 and because I'm root I could change the recents view. In my case it looks like Pixels models and it's totally integrated to the system:

Someone from OnePlus can tell us when the update will be completely rolled out?

Oneplus has becoming.more and.more boring with updates, focusing more on making 6 phones a year, instead of 2 like their always been. I wonder why carl left... This is exactly what Samsung does and i hate it...
