You don't need the OTA update if you have updated via Oxygen Updater. They are the same update

Give it a few days to settle, Android does some background housekeeping after an update like this

The update will hit your device in a few days as this is a staged rollout.
If you are impatient then you may be interested in "Oxygen Updater" on the Play Store which can fasttrack the update to your device
    - This is what I used and it is fast, safe, stable and I can't see any bugs on my phone with the update

If they are little curvy lines, they are prompts for the new gestures to bring up the Assistant. If you successfully swipe up from the lines and use it to answer a few queries (use each side a couple of times) they go away

Oxygen Updater pulls the official OTA directly to your device, so they are exactly the same

The white line is the new gestures bar, you can change it or hide it in the Gestures menu of Settings

It's an awkward one, but it works. I did it on mine about 4/5 times.
quick little flicks of the thumb usually work

    Wrong!

Just install the full new stock, stable, OxygenOS for Android 10, via Local Upgrade or use the Oxygen Updater app to download the full Android 10 stock firmware and install it. No data loss.

Open Beta questions should be posted in that thread.

Does anyone know if this will become a system update from the menu or if this has to be done OTA or through the Oxygen Updater only. I'm just trying to find the best way to do this without changing any of my settings because I don't know whether to root my phone or do incremental updates. I'm just concerned that either of those two other options would be less stable.

No upgrade options require root or have data / settings loss.
OTA is the slowly rolling out update which will eventually show up in the System menu, whereas Oxygen Updater will pull the same update from the servers pro-actively. It just depends if you want to wait or not.
Once you do it one way you don't need to nor will you be prompted to upgrade the other way, but it doesn't matter as they are the same update.
Moving from OS9 => OS10, I would recommend a Fill Upgrade (if using Oxygen Updater).
I used this method and I have a succesful upgrade with no bugs (I can use Google Pay, etc)

it updates automatically or do you have to move the file in some storage??
also which update did you choose full or incremental?
