My personal experience on a OnePlus 6 device was fine, I used Oxygen Updater to do the upgrade and after giving my phone time to settle, everything was fine - no bugs.

Android 10 OTA is still technically still being rolled out, but there's been no word of the broader rollout. It's most likely been paused while they prepare update 10.0.1 which will fix many of the problems people are facing in this forum. It's best to wait for that to be released. It will still upgrade you from Android 9 to 10.

If you want the current update then download an app called "Oxygen Updater" from the play store and do a full update. Remember to clear phone cache in recovery to get the best experience

just to put it out there, the Oxygen Updater isn't an official OnePlus app.

i suppose the rollout is paused due to a lot of issues and most users will receive it through OTA after 10.1 is released...

You are correct, but it is safe, reliable and pulls the same update file that the OTA would distribute

Hi, I updated my os using oxygen os updater to stable android 10 from oxygen stable pie.

I didn't face any data loss, thing i observed is there seems to be a addition of minimize keyboard button which is newly added to gboard in bottom and it does cause some disturbance when typing.

Apart from that i saw issues with playing videos in fb, so the screen gets stuck in buffering state at times even when connected to WiFi with good speed.

Android 10 is really great.. But here is my exp. After a week from update with oneplus 6t & some lags:

-in COD game.. Phone either freezes or go black on battle roral game
    - Now the device is getting heated after 15 min. Of gaming or while charging.. Never happened before
-device restarted by itself once after hangging up while receving a phone call.using truecaller
Some times hangs up while auto rotatting..

Pls consider this in future update

I used to use it till the last release, thanks @splinter_head. It doesn't update the change log file on the OnePlus phone, and we do get the update pretty quickly, and right now it has the recently released buggy version of Android 10. I myself am waiting for the stable release before installation.

yaa,u can do that, its not dangerous, download from Oxygen updater or xda.but the thing is those are buggy,i myself updated my OnePlus 6t to Android 10 from Oxygen updater and after 2 days i reverted back to Android pie becoz of the bugs, some of the apps are not even opening, and i encountered some bootloops and the phone gets hangs sometimes.i did a factory reset even wiping the internal storage but it's still the same.so,my suggestion to u is to wait for ota.if u think u can't wait that long,it's ok.u may not able to encounter the bugs i encountered.but it's completely safe from those sources.if the os seems buggy then u can revert back to pie.
