Who wants to know officially what is going on, if you can read the interview with a pianist, which is why we buy all our phones. [e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e]

Android 10 OTA has been paused while they prepare update 10.0.1/10.1 which will fix many of the problems people are facing in this forum. It's best to wait for that to be released, we're expecting it this month. It will still upgrade you from Android 9 to 10.

If you want the current update then download an app called "Oxygen Updater" from the play store and do a full update. Remember to clear phone cache in recovery to get the best experience. Taking this risk is up to you - 6T devices are seeming to come away with many bugs.

Which cheap brands out there are supporting last years, or even the year before that's devices?

Technically, OnePlus have a build, it;s just not good enough for OnePlus to deem it releasable.

OnePlus are rolling out the October security update with Android 10, but as that update seems to be on hold you haven't been able to get it.
Once Android 10 update hits your phone this month you will have the October / November security updates

Applying a security patch to a codebase is a very low risk operation. Upgrading an entire OS is very high risk - It takes time

I agree on your point of OS upgrade relates to high risk, but as Oneplus has only 4 models under its shelf then why can't it release a stable upgrade. It was testing this build from the Andriod 10 Beta time.
Also to mention, these post upgrade release issues are becoming common in Oneplus. There is something wrong which Oneplus team needs to correct.

No problem for me. Nice update. Only the memory management, sometimes kill the app in background, even if you are using it.
