I'll help you out. Don't worry.
Check if you have this setting enabled in the developer settings.

Will consider this, thanks, but will wait till last day of November or my device is actually blocked (we are also warned to not use any unofficial or beta channels on our phones). I hope something comes soon. (Again I really don't care one way or the other about Android version).

A large number of people are reporting that they do not have any problems with the update just as a large number of people are reporting that they do.
The only difference is the device running the software.
The main difference between devices is usage, settings, apps and conditions of operations.
In other words the bugs, existing in the software, are kicked into life on some devices and not others.
SO, unless you test the software on enough devices using enough different setups, apps and in enough different conditions you will not see all the bugs.
It maybe that this version needed a lot more beta testing than it received.
Should OnePlus have realised that. I don't know. Maybe they should.
    But they didn't.
We assume the developers are working to sort it out.
But, slagging off each other, OnePlus and the developers is not helping anyone.

Actually, no. Each update gets its own timeline. We got ours, it got paused. The others didn't and are getting them on time. Please learn how software development works.
